What y'all need to know is that there's been a link tween Burna and Fela. His grandfather was Fela's manager back in the day. And he has been known to say Fela was his major inspiration which is why outta the majority of Nigerian artists, he stands out. I am a Nigerian and promote my local artists,but theres one thing I will confess to and that's the fact that when you listen to most of their lyrics, they make no sense. Kinda like present day rap. But Burna boy is different. He represents a different movement. He brings it back down to earth. He resonates from the every day streets of Ojuwolegba in Lagis to the nitty gritty streets of Isa kaita road in Kaduna,where I represent! Croc city brother for life!!!

God I wish I was Nigerian even before the music became popular I always wanted to visit and become part of the culture I was born in 1981 and was onto Nigerian culture in 1999 my friends never understood why I was so interested in something I knew nothing about but one thing is for sure your spirit will guide you back to who you are if you just listen I was a teenager then I'm African American I still listen to my hip-hop songs and what I grew up on and still lived the life of a project kid born and raised but something in me was different on god everyone that knows me knew me as the girl who dressed like an African and that's because I was guided there long time. This music I'm listening to now makes me say on thing welcome to MY REALITY.
