In the '310 to Yuma' movie a stagecoach was burned as part of the storyline. After a sequence of events to follow, this same stagecoach has been rebuilt and was on a 615 mile reenactment stage run across Montana. This is the story of events of the journey of this stagecoach and where is resides today. Building and restoring horse drawn vehicles often uncovers some of these interesting stories.

Thanks for the link. My Great Grandfather had the overnight stage stop in Humphrey Nebraska. My Grandfather was born in 1895 and told me about it when I was a little boy in the 60's. I have no doubt that I will enjoy watching those young men's adventure.

The Lakota call winter season the Coyote Tale season. Elders and Aunts with Uncles teach the young through story and lore. You Sir, are an artisan and historian worthy of listening to. As an antique furniture restorer I most often learn the history of pieces I work on such as a Mint back bar I restored in Montana. I greatly appreciate your craft and stories. More people need to look back at our histories and learn just how good they have it today and how much stronger our ancestors were. Please keep up the great work and videos and I will continue to enjoy. You all are in my prayers, Thank You Hoka Hey

I’ve been watching your videos for a while now. Although I’m not an enthusiast when it comes to horse drawn vehicles, I was raised around them in my early youth and loved them. I truly believe that you are a national treasure. I look forward to your videos each week because of the way you approach your trade. It is very calming to me. Thank you very much. Warmest regards-Bob Christison.

Stage coaches are cool. From the title I was hoping that was going to be the next restoration. When my second wife and I got married back in the mid 80's, it was at the Courthouse in my small hometown. He has passed away since, but a friend of ours picked us up at the Courthouse in his original and authentic stagecoach pulled by a team of 6 horses back to our house about 2 miles away. Fun ride, but I can't imagine doing that for several hundred miles back in those days.

Well Dave I believe that's the best link recommendation I've ever had. It's encouraging, heartening even, to see what seems like some really decent, well raised kids undertake and see thru a historical project like that in a family effort. When one gets to our age we strain our eyes a bit looking for those young ones who want to grab hold and run with some of those old things that came before them (us too) and wind up gaining the gumption that they produce. The family aspect made it that much better. Many thanks brother.

Hard to believe that spry young man has become a wise old(er) man. The knowledge you have is priceless & without the videos would vanish into the mists of time. Well I checked out the documentary and it's great! I'm up through Episode 4. Nice people and very real...not a single ounce of pretense or hubris. I did notice how they fixed the slipping tongue pin with duct tape in the rain, in spite of having every conceivable tool at hand. I guess it worked fine. 3:10 to Yuma is a magnificent movie, I'm glad the old beast got its due freshening up. Thanks for keeping a movie carriage alive to all involved, and what a sweet post script for the coach itself to go coast to coast. I imagine the journeys even worse now. I bet they had to detour around bunches of modern build up that wasn't there back then right? Anyways I didn't wake up this morning thinking I needed to know about it, but you definitely piqued my interest. Thanks for being a consistently top shelf craftsman sir!
