There is a lot of us that miss you guys and miss this music. It brings back so many memories. It's also sad in a way due to how bad this world is getting and how people are today. This music takes me back to when people were different and things were different. Have always loved your music guys !!! Thanks so much !!
DERRY GREHAN! One of the most underrated guitarists ever! Big fan since seeing HS at Ontario Place forum on your very first tour! (Whatever happened to 'Love Games' and 'We've Got The Night'?) Anyway, that mid-song break in BIL is one of my favourites. So beautiful, the tradeoff between keys and guitar, resulting in the solo. Amazing even after 35 years. God bless, stay safe. Cheers. Dave
If any of you guys are figuring this one out, you're at the right vid. He's dropped the low E to D which you'll need for the solo. as a result the F in the verse is at the 3rd fret. Also the Bb and F in the pre chorus are sus2. The solo you can pretty much see what he's doing. Cheers to you Derry for putting this and New girl now up, very helpful.
Wow!!! Great sound and talent from these Canadian's.... Real Musicians!!!! That guitar solo should go on and on longer....I always crank it up when I hear it.. Never stop rocking!!!
A Great Song is a Great Song whenever it was wrote. If you're listing to a song that's 3 decades plus years old it's a great song. HS has a lot of Great Songs.
Derry you rule. You will always rule. Niagara Falls has an electric guitar sound because of you !! You captured it. All the good blessings to you and your family.❤
This is awesome. I love this guy's guitar sound and style. His feel. Derry is a killer guitarist, and HMS was, and still is.... a great rock and roll band. This is really cool. Side Note: That Kramer axe is KILLER!
Darry, when I first heard of Honeymoon Suite and this song. I have been playing the guitar since for ever, and when you did the solo, I said now that person can play the guitar. You were the Canadian Van Halen of your time. thanks for showing me how to play it. I love this song.😊
Love this, amazing song and guitar skills, I was smiling the whole time. Reminds me of such great memories over the years, especially when this song first came out. Was a great song then, and still a great song now! Thank you for sharing!!! ♥️ 🎸 👏
I saw them in 2015 in a small outdoor venue in north west BC. Bumped into them all the evening before - some of the nicest guys I have had the pleasure to chat with.
Soooo good. Would LOVE a tutorial on this like you did with New Girl? Lots of very cool details I'm missing now that I see you playing it. How 'bout it Derry?
Derry please tell me where that Krammer white flying V that you played in the original video is??? Just loved it when you played it in the video and when you were in the window of the wax museum and you do a neck slide and lean forward with that flying V!!!!!!!! You guys are STILL AWESOME!!!!!
This is cool. Was just a couple weeks ago I was talking with some friends of mine and I wondered if he still had this Kramer or not. Question answered, lol. Awesome!!
This, my young padawans, is why axe slingers from this era will always rein. Anyone cool enough to wear out the neck on a Kramer should have immediate induction into the guitar wing of the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame.
Ive been trying to learn this song been play guitar for about a year now .was looking at the tab for it and they really seem off to how your doing in the video. been a big far and a local boy not far from St. Kitts. Any tips or pointer would be very helpful Derry. Oh and just not to assume this is in E stardard right? Thank you sir.
