A cover of the song from the bar scene in the 1984 movie Terminator. Made by Voyade feat. Su•Per•Son on guitarsolo and backing vocals and Kristine Konopka on lead vocal. Originally composed by Tane Cain and the Tryanglz + Brad Fiedel
The atmosphere, the scene, the slow mo, the music, the era. One of the best independent films ever made. Nothing can beat the 80's. Harlan Ellison should be proud instead of angry at Jim.
Everyone says T2 is better, but that is part of why I like the first Terminator best. The atmosphere feels real and gritty, while T2 (though great) feels like a Hollywood blockbuster.
I was 13 years old in 1984. Me and my childhood friend of almost 50 years was forever changed by what James Cameron created. The terminator was a total game changer....this was next level cinema for 1984......and this track was incredible.
@@thevoyade5614 When he was that close to the target, his system no doubt went through the probabilities of success... and walking straight in with some ruckus was higher than searching around for spare change and queuing up lol.
**The T-800 pulls out the Long Slide 45. cocking it back.** **_Kyle Reese began to push people out of the way as he racked his Pump Shotgun._** *Sarah looked confused.* **_Kyle begins to fire at the Terminator multiple times, knocking him to the ground._** **_"Come with me if you want to live.. C'MON!"_** **The Terminator then slowly got up, now pulling out an UZI.**
This is absolutely phenomenal!! I am just about to publish a drum cover of Burnin' in the Third Degree on RU-vid in the next 20 minutes and was having a look through to see if there were any other covers of it. This is unreal! Such a fantastic reimagining of one of my favourite songs from the 1980s. Hats off to you!
Thank you! That reaction is crazy. Brad had nothing to do with the original, but we added a little nod to his T1 soundtrack at the end of ours. As a tribute.
@@thevoyade5614 no, didn’t mean it like that. But just like the tone and playing style from the original I personally just love more, it’s still good I definitely meant no offense or anything
@@thevoyade5614 I like the vocals, I just want to hear an instrumental version as well since I'm into ambient music too and there's not a lot of instrumentals of this song :(
Oh man! Do you have the stem files for this? I would love to remix this! I've got the perfect sounds and drums for this but I don't have a live guitar and can't quit get the notes down.
I agree, it’s two different styles. But it’s not the voice alone. It is the entire genre and arrangement of the song. Therefore the approach to the vocal track is not the same. I don’t think it lacks anything. It’s adapted to a new version of the song.
@@kml_arf Different musical styles calls for different instrumentation and vocal styles. A classic rock style song and an atmospheric electro version are two different moods. It’s a very deliberate choice.
