Gorgeous braids and what most might not realize is that it's essential out at Burning Man to protect fine hair like this. The microscopic and extremely alkaline particulates of desert Playa dust are terrible for hair...that & the dry heat make hair brittle and prone to breaking. I always wore mine in simple braids and coverd with a bandana but this is next level! So gorgeous! Thanks for sharing 💚💓💚💓💚

The hair is beautiful and braides are for every and any race but its important that the name of these hairstyles remains the same regardless of which race wears them. "Festival braides" is a term used by white people to appropriate our braiding techniques to make it seem like its a trend, and further perpetuate that colorful braids are ment to be temporary/ doing drugs and partying. This is a black hairstyle, and we use it to not only protect our hair but embrace our culture. That knowledge is super important and I hope you share it with your non black clients when getting hairstyles like these.
