What makes this lap so difficult is the traffic. Unlike many other burning laps, in this one you can't afford even a single crash. While most of the traffic is fixed and you can learn your ways around it, there are too many sections with randomly spawning vehicles that cannot be easily avoided (e.g. tunnels or the final sections of the track). I'm still in my 4th hour of this ordeal. One day I might finally do it.
Now that I think about it again, after more than a week of futile efforts (I'm less than a second from Gold), it is probably the combination of track layout and the traffic. The first 40s of track or so are pretty clean, it is only after the wide turns that the track design quality drops significantly. The "snow blindness" section is situated at an awkward vertical angle that causes the car to lose the grip completely. It also happens to contain too many randomised traffic to avoid accidental collision. The tunnels part is absurdly randomised with the final single-direction tunnel entrance being the stupidest and the most random part of the track. Sometimes all the lanes inside the tunnels are filled with traffic, making it nearly impossible to steer away with so little time to react (since you go up the road you can't see anything). The two final sections after exiting the extra wide turn (the tunnel and the highway entrance) have zero preset cars on the road. They are all random, and these sections are the final parts of the track. Only a couple of enormous lorries seem to appear on the last turn with guaranteed success, but they often appear together and take up the whole fast lane forcing you to boost to the oncoming traffic, which is invisible due to another change in the track layout verticality. This track is abysmal. I haven't been this frustrated after playing ever since completing the original Gran Turismo using manual transmission.
@@George_McLovin the oncoming traffic is no longer a blurred mush of pixels; controls are snappier and your thumbs don't hurt (as the buttons are no longer analogue); and you can reset the race with a single button press to load a savestate
Aww man, the day I completed all gold medals on this game! What a proud moment and achievement. Countless times playing this track and when I made the time, it was close! Best racing game I ever played. This wasn't the hardest gold to get though, not for me any way
Thank you for the video ! I just tried again and performed a 1:30:58 lap with a 995 ft drift :) The tip is to always choose the same way and try again (and again...) at 1st crash to learn the circulation with a "perfect" lap. Don't hesitate to stop nitro, brake a bit and use nitro again to stop rubbing the walls in the bends (you should also pray to not hit a car when you're back in the road). Of course, stop nitro injection only if you had to. You can avoid shortage by beginning in oncoming way and then drift the successive bends. N.B. : - At 0:23 in this video go forward between truck and car (trust me) to choose oncoming way (easy way to learn) to fulfill your nitro bar before the 1st bend (= 1st use of brake). - Stop thinking of a drift after the 1:15 bend (in this video), just (try to) avoid cars 'til the end. I'm not a pro so believe me, you can do it too ! If you start tearing one's hair off : you're in the good way to achieve it ;)
bro, this wasn't even good. he doesn't maximise oncoming, nor does he drift in the curves, but rather slams in to the walls losing so much speed, I also ran this track maybe 100 times, but I managed to get something like 1:20
I don't know how so many people had trouble :S the key is to not hit the walls, ease into corners and boost out of them. coming from being ranked 2nd in Canada for online, just a tip
Guys, what's better F1 or Euro Circuit Racer ? My opinion is the Euro, because the friction of the F1 is high when friction into walls, and Euro is less, Watch here... 0:43, Due to Open-Wheels.
there was the formula 1 GP race. Man, i got so angry every time the car spin on the track or slowed down from 209mph to 100mph just by touching the wall
+Paulo Veiga yeah he did well but not amazing, the grinding was slowing him down a lot, not to mention almost hitting that car near the beginning. you don't know how much i was cringing at 0:20 when i realized he wasn't turning further to the right, i thought he was going to hit the car XD and if you have played burnout long enough (like since the first game) then you would know that staying on the oncoming side of the road is better off to fill that boost bar! even in a Formula 1! lol
+devilix123987 he probably did that to lower the risk of a collision, you dont have to have max boost the whole time. If you build it up youcan stay in safe sections of the road. Pretty much had to do it with that one burning lap with the euro racer to avoid getting fucked by the pillars
A reason cus of that is this car sucks ass. First of all it has a big whenever you stick to the walls, that it'll slow down. EVEN WHILE USING YOUR BOOST IT WILL DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING LIKE HOW BROKEN CAN U MAKE A "OVERPOWERED" CAR WHAT TOOK US HOURS TO UNLOCK EA. God this car is absolutely retarded. And there's more lads. The handling on this car is shit becus of one touch to the side, woobly woobly goes the circuit racer and BOOP! ded. Another thing is the stability. You spin out and try recover, you still keep on doing spins becus of the wheelspin it has, and lastly this car is too fast and the steering will absolutely kill ur speed. That would make alot of sense since I experienced trying beat that gp for 3 hours (not lying)
Why does this game feel so fast?? My brother was a NFS fan so he played all the games in the ps2. on the other hand, Bournout 3 was my game always saw him playing Need for Speed (Underground 2, Most Wanted, Carbon, Pro Street) and I always thought those were way too slow, ESPECIALLY Pro Street. why!!? what is it that makes Burbout 3 feel so fast?? is it camera? graphics? sound? can't be traffic, since some NFS have it aswell.. legit asking
I just fail at the last race whit the f1, you cant crash or drift 1 time, and I did not unlock the last world price .......xD Consegui todos los oros menos en la ultima carrera de f1 y no desbloquee el ultimo gran premio nunca...
I remember being 5 and trying this shit... week after record was like idk 1.41.00 or something. I finnaly beated it. I hate this. Yea, almost beaked controller on this bullsht
The f1 car is the most annoying one, fkin easy to crash, has outrageous acceleration and is almost impossible to control while drifting. Whenever I accidently turned around just because it is too light I would smash my ps2 controller against my old huge tv as a kid and eventually my controller would sound like a beanbag. 13 years later I have finally defeated my old enemy with my over 9000 skill level. I feeel so proud.
I totally agree with this comment. Every fact you said is all true. And u forgot one thing, the friction the car has, you try boost on the side walls. Even when ur not boosting BOOM! progress lost becus you INSTANTLY slow down as if there's a huge ass object in front of u
