Improved particle system, improved tunnel echo sounds (driving inside a tunnel for instance), all free and paid dlc in the game. That's all I guess. Probably some technical improvements too but that's all I know

I'm not sure if it's just me... but some of these cars sounds a little bit like some of the cars from NFS Most Wanted (2005), like the Ford GT, Lamborghini Murcielago and Porsche Carrera GT or something.

Actually EA released this to see if there is a market for it, AND the original dev team have since formed Three Fields entertainment and released Dangerous golf (obviously a tech demo for "showtime") and Dangerzone (a tech demo for crash mode) They have repeatedly stated that their plan was to release a golf game, a crash game, then the spiritual successor to Burnout. Seeing as it's made by the original team I'd say it IS burnout in everything but name.
