Balatro is a poker roguelike deck building game centered around creating powerful synergies and winning with big hands. Against the early boss that he thought he was dead fo there was actually an opportunity for a flush house using both tarots to turn the 5s of diamonds into 6s and convert the ace and six into diamonds, making a sixes over aces flush house Edit: I love how I can never find lines like this when I'm playing but it's obvious to me when I'm watching someone else

There should be a legendary joker that makes all once-per-round abilities all hands/discards per-round. So burnt joker, DNA, trading card, dusk, acrobat, etc. However, this doesn’t include the ‘when entering a blind’ for somewhat obvious reasons, that would mean you’ve entered the blind twice.

theres a joker in a mod (i think the cryptid mod) that makes every hand and discard count as the first one of the round, and one that does the same for final hands for dusk value

I love splash early for stuff like money making since it will score a card without needing it to “make” a hand, but it’s definitely one of the first to be replaced in the end.

Burnt joker still doesn't deserve to be rare imo. Sure, an extra planet per blind is nice, but you either have to play high card/pair build or waste hands to get the hand you want to discard first, which makes it very meh

Just had a run with burnt joker and blueprint too today! But because I was playing checkered deck, I upgraded flush instead though

Spectral idea: introduce negatives to more of the cards, like medium destroys all consumables but can apply an additional seal per consumable destroyed this way

I had a run with Mime, Baron, double Blueprint this week, and found an early red seal gold king, but saw cards in shop voucher in 6 blinds, and never a reroll. My ante 11 boss was face cards are debuffed so I died like a chump😭😭 my 18E deck before even steeling my kings😭😭
