Sir the burnout is REAL. I finished NP school and I work in the ER as a RN full time, I have two babies and a husband and I am just exhausted 🥱 I don’t know how I did it. 😅 It’s tooooo muuuuch. How do we our balance time better? Maybe extend the day past 24 hours lol 😝

Congrats on finishing up all your schools, you know you can apply to the Army or Air For e reserves and be a 1st lieutenant. But you will get all your loan pay off and after 20 yrs in you will have a second retirement waiting on you. When I was in as a LPN E7, and working at the Army Hospital in San Antonio TX. There were so many soldier doing what u did, so many soldier being commissioned as a officer because they did what you just done. There was a E8 that just finish his PA program, he would talk about it a lot. He was about to retired in a couple yr. My unit there was 5501 hospital there. That was 22 yrs ago, I am sure the same thing is going on.

I feel the opposite, like I stressed out more than I should. What school requires of you and your life demands can be very different throughout various points of your life. Takeaway for me is that no matter how hard it seems/is, it is worth it at the end. 💯

Try to make some time for yourself man. No one ever died from taking half the day off. Trust me.

I did my LPN and now in my last class of RN school. A part of me feels it is so draining, however Ive lived broke and that was even more draining. I guess its just what type of burn out you'd rather feel. Lastly, believe it or not we will look back at the days of studying and doing clinical and miss certain parts of it. I see it as a blessing to be able to upgrade my life with school.

Kaynen brother I stumbled upon your account when I was considering transferring into a Nursing program back in 2020 and you were detailing how you wanted to go to PA school. What. A. Journey. You rock, I graduated my undergrad last year and I'm struggling to get myself motivated to pursue the things I want to (PA school, medicine in general), and I appreciate you tackling this topic as it's something I've been reflecting on lately

I feel you.....I feel the same way....especially when I see the nursing students on my unit. They're so excited and ready to work-learn. I am STILL exhausted - current DNP-FNP student. I am struggling trying to find the energy and excitement for my current program.

I just finished PA school 2 months ago and I agree. It causes a lot of anxiety thinking about doing “that much work” even though we once did it already. Now we have a taste of relaxation from exams and school work so its hard to imagine being in that again. I feel like my brain is so fried sometimes but im trying to soak in this “freedom” before my PA job starts. Good luck with the ED👍🏼😀

I am finishing my undergraduate degree early and I can relate to how you feel. I’m ahead of my former peers by two years and I think the exact same thing “oh that must be hard” when they talk about previous classes I took or starting to work healthcare jobs. I feel like it’s our way of finally giving ourselves credit for what we have done because we did not take the time to celebrate our victories, maybe I’m wrong. I hope you do well and get out of this burn out rut soon ! Just know you are a beast and you are one of my biggest inspirations to continue the PA profession 👊

I feel you so hard on this, finished nursing school in December through an ABSN (now in the CVICU), and looking on the cohort behind me its insane how they're doing it. Hopeful to be a SRNA in the future and very excited to start that process. When will you start as a PA?

No brother, make no mistake we have done some crazy time studying and working for this. It’s even more weird when talking to someone else from other fields cause they have so much free time. Anyhow. Congrats man :) 🥳 I been watching since high school and now I only have a year left of nursing school. And you came superrr far. Well done 😀
