Having the shifter that far back isn’t good for racing at all, you want it to be right next the steering wheel for better control.. I may be no racing driver but its true

"Once we hit 11.5..." Dude that's a twin turbo TSP engine. The 11's are in your back mirror if you drive it right. At a minimum I expect it to run a low 10. But a 6-speed is gonna suck in drag racing... Powerglide 2-speeds is where it's at. 4 less chances to miss a shift.

I am in love with the burntacan since day 1, keep the burntacan going with awsome mods.

After watching Adam LZ's video at Grange, I would suggest putting a fire suppression system in the Burntacan just as a precaution, and as insurance for all you've invested into it!

Something to consider for future builds, I saw someone use rare earth magnets on their build for interior panels. It eliminated the need for screws and clips and made for a really clean install.

I think you should move the shifter forward more. You should be able to drop your hand from the wheel to the shifter. As it is now, you still have to drop your hand and pull it back. Hard to tell without measurements, but 2 inches from your knuckles to the switches when the shifter is in the forward gate. I would think the front of the gate should be about 4 inches (maybe a little less) from the switch panel. (forward position of the shifter even with, or just a little back from, the from the line of the steering wheel)
