Burris RT-1 Red Dot Unboxing and Test 

I wish the dot on mine was like that ..... round instead of a squiggle.

For everyone wondering whether this is a 1x prism or a red dot, its kinda' both. It is a 1x prism that does NOT have an etched reticle. The reticle only shows up when you turn on the illumination, and it (the reticle) is a 2 m.o.a. red dot. It is an incredible optic. I have every ACOG model that Trijicon makes, and this is very close in quality. The majority of people in the gun community seem to have this misconception that Burris is a low tier company that does nothing but budget gear. Burris is not some wannabe ass company. They are top tier military contractors. Burris is Beretta. Yeah... The M9 guys. That Beretta. They bought Burris and chose to keep the name and "image" so that they could branch out and do different things while keeping their main company focused on the military contracts. Anybody that runs prism optics, you're messing up if you pass on the original Burris 1x prism, the new 1x Burris RT 1, and the Burris RT 3. They will all 3 surprise you big time.
