Did you know that Loni Anderson divorced Burt Reynolds and yet, Loni Anderson cheated on him first? Find out the full details here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qRmBpsYVeRM.html
Wow, hard to believe she was 20 yrs older than Burt. Yeah the "incredibly awkward moment" reminds me of those guys who propose to their girlfriends at a baseball game on TV and the girls says no.
MAY have APPEARED to be SPONTANEOUS... but as in TRUTH in ADVERTISING teaches.. Spontaneity is an appealing EFFECT... that's NEVER ALLOWED the POSSIBILITY to be GAMBLED AWAY on LIVE NATIONAL TV...
Dinah was everything fabulous, talented and beautiful, she had a beautiful voice that I’m still discovering today, Burt was out of his league but she was in love and I think he valued her in many ways.
@@FactsVerse I’ve read she didn’t love her role in Aaron slick from punkin crick but I thought she was adorable, I loved it. I like interesting interviews when she spoke about her take on things on her talk show as well, there’s not enough footage of her on RU-vid because I’ve watched most of what’s available and it’s always wonderful.
Dinah Shore was the cream of the crop and was Tensile Town's cup of sunshine. Burt Reynolds was a good Ole boy from the south. Dinah showed Burt a whole new way of living. I don't think Burt would have been the big star he was without Dinah introducing him to the Tensile Town elites. Yes, I think Dinah was the love of Burt's life and Burt was the love of Dinah's life.
Dinah was a wonderful songstress who happily held her own, alongside the best of singers, including the great Ella Fitzgerald. Out here on RU-vid ("Dinah Shore and Ella Fitzgerald") there is a wonderful clip of this duo belting out, "Memphis Blues/St. Louis Blues." This is a true classic duet of two women singing for the sheer joy of it - and it shows. (Sinatra loved her as well and performed with her many times over the years).
Dinah was attractive with an appealing personality to audience’s. I never felt like she could sing. I read he didn’t go to her services. Never was clear why. I had a much longer shelf life. He could have kids anytime. She was delusional to think it was worth being with him.
Burt Reynolds preferred older women because I believe he had "mother" issues from his childhood. Unfortunately he was too immature to sustain any kind of loving relationship with any woman, which eventually separated him from Ms. Shore. He also tried to pursue a romantic relationship with Carol Burnett, but she was too intelligent to fall for him. As for Sally Field, Reynolds treated her abominably, so she didn't stay with him very long!
I think Burt and Dinah were very much in love. The Dinah and Burt interview showed the love, heartache and respect they had for ach other. Burt called Dinah once a week until her death. Burt asked Dinah to marry him and she refused, because he wanted to adopt a child. He realized how much love he had for children. Dinah refused the proposal, as she had raised her children and was at an age, when most women felt they didn't want the responsibility of raising another family. Burt had to move on, as he desperately needed a child. A man being attracted to older women doesn't mean mother issues, nor is a woman being attracted to older men mean father issues.
If the well meaning but without any TV/ FILM PRODUCING/ DIRECTING KNOWLEDGE or EXPERIENCE Narrator thus FAILED to realize... NOTHING on LIVE TV IS 100% SPONTANEOUS nor ALLOWED TO OCCUR UNSCRIPTED WITHOUT PLANNING SET-UPS... IT'S TOO EXPENSIVE AND TOO LARGE of a SPONSORED BASE FOR A TV AUDIENCE to GAMBLE WITH Unforeseen CONSEQUENCES!!
I wished burt & Sally could of worked out their problems & would of stayed together i love them both & thought they made a great couple. R.I.P Burt Reynolds No I never knew about Burt & Dinah having an awkward moment.
Wow,! You sound like you have nothing but hate for B R. Or were you just down right jealous of his lifestyle. I don't believe what you said about Burt and Carol. I think they were friends, as they both appeared on each other's shows. I don't think a woman being pursued by a man and didn't reciprocate would have the man on her show or wouldn't appeared on his show.
I always thought that Burt did not take his film career seriously and most importantly, it showed on camera. There were some notable exceptions. I think of _Deliverance_ as an example. He started out in a few TV series giving it his all but somewhere along the line he seemed to become disinterested in the actual quality of his work.
Yes, They remained friends and on that TV special, when he asked her to sing, she said, "I'd do anything on God's green earth for you". A bittersweet moment for sure.
I seen Smoky &, the Bandit 1,and 2, Sally Fileds With BURT REYNOLDS they are Vary awesome together ❤️ &, off ( to . They make me 😃. God Thank you for them .
It was agreed that they would part. Burt wanted to marry and adopt a child with Dinah and she said no. She had raised her children and felt she was at an age that she didn't want the responsibility of raising another child.
@@FactsVerse I would love for you to do a video on James Drury “ The Virginian “ I know there are some out there but really not covered the way you do. They usually give a mere mention about his stage work and personal life and sometimes they even get the facts wrong 😑. He lived a long and interesting life. Thank you so much for your consideration 🥰🎬📽️
Oh yes he did want children. When he and his adopted brother, Jim worked at a summer camp for children he realized how much loved children. Burt couldn't have children and he longed for a child.
Loved him as the half Indian “Hawk” Blacksmith in the early Gunsmoke series when the acting was more serious and dramatic by the Cast’s regulars. As I understand, the Cast told him to ditch the role and get into Movies as he was wasting his talent there. Should have married Shore, but he was too talkative about his love interests and goings on, and he would have probably “cheated” on her and she didn’t deserve that. He was too restless and too oriented on “My party is in my pants” lifestyle. Oh, too many Actors and Actresses are into that lifestyle. That is the nature of their business. “Casting Couch” anyone???
This was not Burt and Dinah's last meeting. Dinah had a special show in 1991, where Burt was the only guest. Dinah Shore was invited, to the Burt Reynolds Special. Burt approved every guest attending. Dinah knew she would be asked to sing, because Burt would have never done such a thing without her approval. They had way too much respect for each other, for him to not get her approval.
Dinah and Burt were such a gorgeous couple together for six years. She was so beautiful, their age gap was not that apparent. I can understand why she didn't want children, even if they were adopted. That is supposedly why they split up but there must have been more to it.
