Before, I would often skip the Demo version because the lack of clarity in the audio. Hearing it all as a "Studio recording" is amazing. One of my favorites from Revenge now haha. Drum-wise, I think next time you should try and record an actual snare drum and bass drum being played and overlay the Revenge sound replacements on top of that, as that’s what was done on the album. Of course the actual playing has to be quiet, though Benson’s mixing has them a slight bit louder than Costey’s. Another tip is to slightly alter the volume of the snare drum sound replacement depending on the hit. Though not that noticeable on the album, it’s still done a tiny bit. Maybe try to make normal hits the 100% volume, and for the rolls (32nd notes) try making them do something like loud medium quiet medium loud medium quiet medium (though of course medium and quiet are still almost as loud as 100% and should not be noticeable until pointed out.) Additionally, Otter has a habit of playing 16th notes on the bass drum quieter than slower bass kicks. You can hear this habit bleed through the sound replacement track, on for example Helena. For his cymbals, I think your best bet is to sample the cymbals he used during the recording of the album as the sound replacements, as it’s hard to sample the original sound replacements out of the drum track. He used 16” Zildjian A Customs for the crashes (ideally sample 2 different cymbals for right and left,) 14” Zildjian A Custom hi-hats, an 18” Zildjian Oriental China Trash cymbal for the first half of recording (I still can’t tell what he used later on, maybe some 18” Wuhan) an 8” Zildjian A Series splash cymbal, and a 20” Paiste Signature Dry Heavy Ride cymbal.

I understand why they cut it, its a bit too much like venom for it to be on the same album as that song
