As much as I like everything these guys have put out, I have to agree that nothing will probably top The Union of Crowns for me. One of the best metalcore releases ever, and the reason these guys are such an important band for me now.
Bury Tomorrow really is the best at what they do. They're the most consistent band out there. I've never heard anyone talk badly about them. This record is already sounding like a masterpiece.
Just found this band today and I’m so happy I found them. I found them off of a gif too which was funny. These guys are amazing. I know I’m late to the game but it’s refreshing to find something new and actually enjoy it
The Masters of Metalcore have spoiled us yet again with another delightful track off their new album Black Flame. The Age has a fine balance of heaviness that is fit for the pit and daytime radio play. It's a beautiful time to be alive when your favourite band release tune after tune. Yaaaaaaaas

Maybe it's just a placebo effect, but I think this song/release has the same mixing issue as the first one, Black Flame, before it got reuploaded... it definitely has a weird sound to it, other than that it sounds amazing.

Compared to the older songs this sounds so much cleaner. They found the perfect combination of clean vocals and screaming. I love how they evolved. Probably one of the best albums of the past 2 years. I love it
It really isn't Tom is very talented but his voice at the core is still very generic whereas Jason's voice was 1 of 1 his voice was so unique his voice stood out like a sore thumb in the best way possible

This sounds absolutely incredible :D Probably one of the most melodic songs I've heard by Bury Tomorrow, the clean chorus section sounds very Killswitch Engage-ish ;)
AMAZING song. Truly an excellent job writing - the mix sounds static filled again, when the chorus drops the instruments clamor over Jason's vocals which is a real shame

Alex Laforest with every song I've listened to by them I honestly couldn't tell the difference lol.. They sound fine to me.. Not the best band I've came across but I like them.

Hands down my favorite metalcore band but they've always had issues with mixing and "tone". The song writing and talent is there but something about their recordings is always off on their albums. This goes all the way back to Union of Crowns, where they re-recorded Lionheart and Royal Blood for the album (the music videos and album versions sound nothing alike), that entire album has over exaggerated amounts of bass. I can only imagine if they had an Architects style mixing. Now that would be insane.
Wow! Awesome band! But I think they are running into a problem that lot of others do too. Hire a professional mixer, one with credentials. And don’t expect to pay $5 per hour. This mix sounds like it was mixed completely inside the box.
Great song !! But there's a fuzzyness sound that really stands out like in black flame, anyone else hear this? Is it the ways it's mixed because it's fuzzy on Spotify when it's on extreme quality

Yeah, I don't know what it is about the video's audio mix, but it's definitely not as clear as the single I heard on Google Play. It's like there's a layer of white noise on most of the track..
i like the song but i think the chorus is a little boring. It gets repeated 3 time without any noticeable changes, usually bands will expand on a chorus, new instruments or a second voice come in to give it a sense of progression, that is something that this song really lacks imo
Like around the 3:11 maybe 3:12 mark, you can hear the pulse of the white noise. That pulse isn't in the single, and it's not the louder pulse that you hear a few seconds later.

That outro is so unnecessary. Sadly , the album has a lot of weird and long outros, it just seems like you tried too hard to really hit that 40 minute length at times, making some tracks a pain to listen to on repeat.
This Black Flame is the only album I have fully loved with a passion, whenever people say what is your favourite song, I just go the whole Black Flame album from Bury Tomorrow. I love every song individually so much. The Melodies, harmonics are absolutely graceful, guitar tone thick but rhythmic. Drums snappy although in my opinion could pop a bit more. The general atmosphere of the album is that of mystery and yet adilic. Probably like my 40th time through this song on its own and it gets better every time I hear the album. Truly this is my soul music. Not to mention the care you have for your fans, couldn’t ask for a better band aha All my love from Devon
