Bury Tomorrow is in my top 3 favourite bands and I really thought losing Jason would mean the end of them, however this album has proven that regardless of what happens they can output banger after banger
They have become my favorite band over the last year or 2 and I was very nervous about the new singer. That being said. This is in my opinion one of my 4 "masterpiece" albums.. This, Horizons by Parkway, Fall of ideals by All that remains and The curse by Atreyu...
My favorite Bury Tomorrow song is The Agonist. Having a hard time trying to figure out if Seventh Sun > Cannibal or not. The fact its a debate shows how good this album is
As I new fan (I couldn't really get into their sound before the vocalist change, even though I love Choke and some other songs on the album)? I absolutely love the album and I'm glad "older" fans like it too. I see that Jason was really loved by the fanbase and I'm glad they can embrace the new sound. I personnaly their is a step up on terms of songwriting on this album and the Life/Death singles, as well as in production. Such a great pure Metalcore record
I think the fact that they’ve gone from Jason playing guitar and singing to Tom just singing and Ed just playing guitar has meant they could get more creative with the interplay of Dani and Tom’s vocals, whilst maintaining the technicality in the guitar work. Phenomenal album.
“The Burden” is my favorite song and Earthbound was the album I found them with. I anticipated each album after and was never let down! When they released the LIFE and DEATH singles to showcase Tom’s vocals I knew The Seventh Sun was going to be awesome. AOTY worthy so far
All time Fav by Bury Tomorrow is props Black Flame, BUT.... since its release this album is on repeat and not a single song i dislike or ever skipping, its jsut so good
Didn't watch the entire video yet but, my favorite Bury Tomorrow song has to be Gods & Machines, it's often overlooked compared to the rest of the album, but GOSH is it amazing
My favorite is stuck between Cold Sleep or The Age. The vocals are insane in both and the instrumentals keep me going in life. Honorable mention to Restless and Cold
I found them with Death and they very quickly became part of my top 3 bands. I honestly prefer the new sound over their older stuff. I might be biased since I found them with their new vocalist but I definitely prefer The Seventh Sun over their older stuff.
My favorite Bury Tomorrow song might be Life (Paradise Denied) Death (Ever Colder) Cemetery Abandon Us Took me a while to give this band a chance, but now they may end up on my Spotify top this year. I love them.
So many fantastic songs from these guys, don't think i could pick just one from each album..... Union of Crowns - Lionheart & An honourable reign Runes - Man on Fire & Watcher Black Flame - Black Flame & No Less Violent Cannibal - The grey (VIXI) & Quake - ( could've been any 2 of about 8) Death and Life are both bangers The Seventh Sun - Abandon Us & The Carcass King
Definitely next to Periphery V as my album of the year. Absolutely phenomenal glow up. Their energy on this new album is just insane 💪🔥 And yes, I felt the exact same way about the singer’s nostalgic quality of his voice. It took me back to my college days. So good.
Man on Fire is definitely my favorite of theirs, I had gotten into their Portraits album but they had fallen off my radar since then, and then Runes dropped and put them back on my radar in the most epic way possible haha. Will never forget hearing that song for the first time
BT is one of my top 5 bands of all time BT is the second one after OM&M This new album is a MASTERPIECE, a PIECE OF ART, 10 / 10, and I can say it's the AOTY My fav BT song is very hard to tell, but I choose : Man On fire THE SEVENTH SUN album, I think is the best BT album in all time I'm a big BT fan, and I listen all their music, I can say TSS is the BEST PS : thank you BOGDANHXC for the reaction, and I'm sorry for my bad last comments
AOTY honestly, will be playing this back-to-front for years to come! Better Below is probably my favourite with Cannibal being a close second, big inward looking tracks considering the time the album came out got me through a lot of shit. Since thanked Davyd personally for that album, convinced it saved my life.
My favorite album from BT has been Cannibal and I absolutely loooove "The Grey (VIXI)", but when "Death (Ever Colder)" came out I'm not so sure of it anymore. It's hard to decide, they've made so many god tier songs!
9:07, Dani's delivery of "What is Recovery?" is amazing. It sounds like he's just ripping through the fabric of reality. I agree with you, the new singer does sound nostalgic and I still haven't been able to pinpoint who it sounds like. My favorite BT song is Cold Sleep
Never listened to bury tomorrow before Abandon Us so I didn't have much expectations, and I must say I really like the balance between heaviness and catchiness, it really has some guts and can be emotional as well like you said with several tracks that break the sort of "monotone" feel that a metalcore album can have. So a really nice first experience with this band ! (and of course as a bassist, I really enjoyed the mix :)))
(I may look biased but as a huge both BT and I/A fan I’d like to share my thoughts about them) Bury Tomorrow and Invent Animate never disappoint, they will always have special place in my heart. I was so happy knowing they released new albums together in same month. I always have Cannibal and Greyview played with no skips before and I hope their both new stuff being like those albums as well like Greyview or Heavener, a lot of things changed in this album, including new vocalist, string/violin addition, and several song strucure change, but this album is truly in a serious competition right now, everything they put and wrote here is absolutely fantastic, when Invent Animate released Heavener like 2 weeks ago I was like in doubt any band could compete with them, but now I have to think twice which album I should pick as album of the year (there’s also Currents, 4 single they have released is jawdropper) and yeah, we share the same favorite BT song: Black Flame 🔥🖤
I think I know why the vocals have a nostalgic feeling to them, it's reminiscent of old As I Lay Dying cleans and Jesse from Killswitch and even bands like Haste The Day and even a tad of old Underoath and BFMV. As someone that only really would listen to Bury Tomorrow if they came up in my daily mixes on spotify, I decided to listen to this album the day it came out and was so pleasantly impressed. It is now contending with ABR for my favorite release so far this year, I cannot stop listening to both albums.
I LOVE this album, AOTY for now. Hot take, but to me, the departure of Jason was the best thing that could happen to BT. Don't get me wrong, I love Jason's voice, but that allowed them to evolve even further and stay the same at the same time. 10/10
I've been listening to Bury Tomorrow since Cannibal came out. They are definitely one of my favourite bands of all time and I love every single album by them but my favourite alubum is either Cannibal or this new one, The Seventh Son. But my favourite song by them is Message to a King from The Union of Crowns but Wrath from the new album is slowly becoming my favourite.
Bury tomorrow already has 3 albums where it is debated which one is better than another, that speaks of the quality of each one and why it is so difficult to choose one. Few bands today can achieve that.
I discovered BT with cannibal during lockdown and it quickly became on of my favourite albums ever. I still prefer it to this new album however, this one is still so good and if anything almost feels a bit more authentic like they've rlly found their sound and come into their own in the space. It's like I can hear a confidence on this album from every member that wasn't their before it's hard to explain. Either way great album and proud of the band for pushing through hard times Favourite song is probably cannibal and cold sleep those songs are just perfect
The agonist was the first song i heard from them and Union of crowns is my favorite album by them but I also really love you and i and her bones in the sand🖤
One of my favorites bands. I’m a fan of « More than Mortal », « Cemetery », « An Honourable Reign » and « Gods & Machines ». Their last album is good but it’s far from what they released when Jason was playing :/ Good music ngl
Choke is my favorite. New album is good. Couple filler songs that were generic but rest are really good. Danny made this album a notch better with his crazy screams.
im probably the only one to get this vibe cause probably not many people listen to ill nino, but this album gives me old ill nino vibes but without the south american instruments of course
Won't necessarily say it's my favorite, however Royal Blood holds a special place in my heart. Heard it way back when they released it and was one of the first songs that really got me into metalcore and metal in general. Been listening to Bury Tomorrow ever since. The new album is simply amazing. When Jason left I was a bit afraid of their future songs since clean vocals were amongst my favorite elements, however the new vocalist does such an amazing job and glues the songs so well, it feel like the band changed for the better. Keep rising BT!
