I drove this bus years ago when OMOT was located in Orrville, Ohio. The kingpin eyes in the front axle were egged out; they sent the axle out and had it welded and re-machined.
I can imagine what that exhaust smells like, I have a 1994 Thomas 3800 with a sweet old DTA360 Fuel is 5 years old, It's straightpiped Pure diesel, Pretty good But yeah thats exciting!

the place the rand the buss had 3 chevy buss one was a short with 366 aduto the jumped gears and to chevy auto disel busses and all 3 had a grill like on you82
Old Looks were produced up until the late 60's...the Toro-Flow was GM's completely different motor (from the old Detroit 6-71s) What I find interesting, is the HORRIBLE plastic seats...that were installed to replace the earlier 'naugahyde' padded ones...on some transit lines...They were easy to clean - but HARD on the posterior!!...
I have a question for you about these buses you are buying? Are you just buying them to restore them and sell them for more than what its worth or you just keeping them to open your bus museum?
I was suckered in because the title says this bus is 68 feet long, but I think the apostrophe is in the wrong place. So now have the same question remaining; what will you do with this ‘68 bus (not 68’ bus)?
@@SledgeFoot well, the old girl is pretty rare - one of the last GM 'old-looks'...I'm pretty sure a bus museum would be interested in it as the 'last of its kind'...That rusted-out dashboard is pretty awful (but certainly restorable). Was it open to the elements for a while?
