A bus carrying worshippers plunged off a bridge on a mountain pass killing at least 45 people. According to authorities, the only survivor was an 8-year-old child who is receiving medical attention.

Kids have been known to more easily survive major accidents regardless of if someone of shielding them. Their bodies can take more abuse I guess

I hate when people die in crazy accidents like that like its just not fair and ik its unlikely and the probabilities of it happening are low but when it does it just sucks and especially of its a young person who dies that never did and never will experience life RIP to them and sending prayers there way

This week we commemorate that Jesus died a horrible suffering death by Roman Crucifixion. A preplanned fulfilment of prophecy so that Jesus could be the Perfect sin less Sacrifice. His blood spilled to cover (forgive) aLL sin for anyone who accepts Jesus as Lord knowing that after He was put in the tomb, dead, He did not stay dead but was alive again on the third day. God's promise was fulfilled and we have the hope (assurance) of eternity in Heaven in God's Presence and Provision. I'm hoping that those who have perished were saved and are now with the Lord. 🙏

This is so sad. RIP. This is why I avoid transportation like this as much as possible in foreign countries. So often you have to put your trust in a driver doing unsafe things, on unsafe roadways just because they've done it 100 times and nothing went wrong,... until it does.

@@LOLONO666 the original poster is right. In the US, there are so many rules and regulations that try to prevent these accidents. Accidents do happen. But with the FMCSA, NHSTA, DOT and all regulating every thing we do, life is safer.

You can make an argument the US is safer than many countries but it is absurd to think when in a different country vehicles are causing deaths left and right like their roads are battlefields

It is Easter Weekend and the members of ZCC church from all over SA gather at Moria in the north of the country. They go up in buses, taxis, and card, many loaded over the max, whilst traveling in heavy traffic on the N1. Lots of accidents every year, during this weekend. Condolences to the families who lost loved ones.

So tragic. RIP. As a South African citizen, I can say that public transport is not particularly safe. So many drivers, be they drivers driving buses, taxi combies (similar to camper style vans but for adapted for passengers/commuters) or private vehicle drivers are reckless and don’t adhere to basic traffic laws. Furthermore the government has let the railway system pretty much deteriorate, so rail is barely a viable transport option for people or transport of goods, so our roads and freeways are always congested with long haul trucks, public and private transport, especially over the holidays . The government always tells us traffic police presence will be strong over public holidays, but bad crashes always happen. Admittedly this is one of the worst but mass crashes where over 20 + people die are not that uncommon on our roads, smaller crashes of say 10 fatalities are common - all over the country.
