Roundabout are sometimes a nightmare when people don’t signal or use wrong signal or people over speed.large Roundabouts should always be controlled by traffic lights.
Regards a right hand turn for a bus on a single lane roundabout; what would be the best position to be in once you have turned right onto the roundabout? Is it better to follow near the outside left curb of the roundabout during this manoeuvre before the right turn?
If the road is narrow you may need to offset to create space for the back wheels. So keep to the right to avoid the left kerb as you turn left into the roundabout, then keep left to avoid the roundabout itself, then keep right to avoid the exit kerb on the left. It is always the exit kerb that catches you out.
Thanks... good point about signalling at roundabouts , not many car drivers do this making bus driving tricky on roundabout entry. Also some cars Indicate too early and continue straight. America policing has a failure to indicate ruling in law; I have never seen implemented in UK.
@@mrbee3534 UK Law is too weak in every sphere. Yes in America you can get fined for not signaling and also for Jay Walking. Thats is crossing the road when there is a perfectly good crossing nearby.
