It's easy to take a bus for granted, but in reality they are the work horses of public transportation and a very important link in our mass transit systems. Great video :)

Very nicely done. Next time you come to Chicago, there's plenty of CTA busses waiting for you. Even Pace busses in the suburbs and some parts of the city. And if you ever get any opportunities to go inside a party bus, do it, because they're lit.

I loved these buses when growing up here in the Boston. They were everywhere; they had that unique sound every time they accelerated, braked, open the doors etc. wish the T still used them around my area.

I enjoyed the change of venue. April 1 st. joke or not, each bus-load of passengers takes about 30 cars off the road and an articulated bus 50+ cars off the road so they are an asset to every major city. Thanks for the BUSES. All the best, Peter.

I used to work on RTS coaches. They are coaches, not buses. Buses are what school kids take to school.

Ah the good old Orions. They have served us well here at nyct for years.......

A strange thing here in Southern California, is that among all the low-floor buses, Line 285 between Beach Blvd./La Habra interesction and Puente Hills Mall (Mon.-Sat., thru 9:00 PM) has among their fleet HIGH FLOOR circa 1999 Orions. CNG, yes, but NO LOW FLOOR and MUCH LESS tech (trans is Allison World) than the much later CNG/Hybird junk from GILLIGAN and others. Also there is a bus line from Whittier-La Mirada, using a small high floor van WITH A REAR window. Granted, again, though, the GMC/Flixble dyhnasty of FIshbowls and the original GMC Old Looks are THE best.

Too bad we never had these in san diego. We skipped this step of buses and leaped from the old 50s buses that lasted up to the 90s and switched to the modern flyers.

The Old OCTD GM RTS Bus that Was Delivered around 1980, I 1st Rode their RTS Busses in July 1981, my 1st time Riding the OCTD, it was my Second Ride from Route 1 that I Transferred to Route 57 when I Rode my 1st OCTD GM RTS to South Coast Plaza From Newport Beach, 1981 was A Boom Year in Southern California for Transit for the GM RTS Busses Delivered to Southern California Transit Systems. 940 GM RTS Busses to the Old Southern Rapid Transit District (Now Metro) Delivered for the 80/81 Fiscal Year. 10 GM RTS Busses to Culver City's Bus System. 50 GM RTS Busses to Long Beach Transit. There were Other Systems that Got the GM RTS Busses in California as well as the Rest of the U.S. OCTD's RTS Busses had the Slanted Back Busses But were Converted Because of The A/C Systems, Montebello, LBT, Gardena & Other Transit Systems who had the Early GM RTS Busses Built Between 1977 to Early 1980. The RTS was a Good Built Bus, Not Like The Grumman Flixible Bus.

I own one of these. Only two tiny windows on the door and the drivers sliding window are flat, everything else is beautifully curved. Too many idiots vandalize things so they'll never make anything like it again.
