I love these occasional “getting around” videos, they’re incredibly useful - your “tram from the airport” video was actually my introduction to the channel prior to my last visit. It’s lovely to see different parts of the area - especially when one starts to recognize roads and landmarks. You’re a treasure, Tony!
Thank you! It is a nice place, Saughton Park and gardens. They have a big play ground for kids, walled rose gardens, a coffe shop, sports complex and car park. Sometimes there are concerts there. It worth a visit, I think. Near Murayfield Stadium.
Really can't explain why I've just spent 30+ minutes watching a bus journey that I've made myself countless times. You even pulled up in Waterloo Place to allow me to catch my bus home to Broxburn! It all seemed a lot quieter than usual. Filmed on a Sunday morning?
I agree with you chad it is true, I feel like I am traveling. With Tony. So special and love it. Learn from Tony and see the beautiful Country Scotland
Thanks Tony for the video. I’m in a small town in Texas. We don’t have buses or trams. It’s nice to know how easy it is to get around your area. If you don’t have a car here you’re not going nowhere.
I thought it would be hard to get to Portabello Beach from downtown. I am so glad you made this because next year, I can hop on the 26 bus. Thank you for all your videos. They have been very helpful ❤️
I always love your choice of music for your videos. Thank you for taking the time to make these wonderful videos to share with all of us. Best wishes to you and yours 😊
Our first time to Edinburgh. We got on the bus and just rode around to see the area. We got to the end of the route and the drive had to take a break. He was confused and asked us where we were going. We told him around and eventually to the castle. Eventually we made it. No need to rush the Holiday.
Talk about nostalgic, you just time warped me back to 1966 when I started to do this bus route every day for 9months to attend the RAMSAY TECHNICAL COLLEGE at the age of 15. My best mate and I (who I met there doing the same classes) were only reminiscing about it a couple of weeks ago over a video call ( him in Cyprus and myself in Germany). At 4min,24sc's the grey bocks on the right is where we visited the cafe for apple dohnut turnovers, at 4 mins 32sec's the first view of the Tech College on the left and at 4min's 42sec's the Name of the College over the windows. We both joined the Army towards the end of our time there managing to get expelled a day before we were due to finish as we had skived of the day before to say goodbye to my Auntie Margret in Edinburgh before leaving to join the Army Apprentice College at Chepstow, Gwent. Still best pals today and you mate are a legend for making this and other videos. To save you doing the maths, we are both 73 now.
