Gassolean! Your so right! This busa rail project is the reason I subscribed! You were going so strong for such a long time! Take this "spark" and light the way and haul a$$ with it! Get this thing moving again! I love it! Good work! Lets see some more!!!
groutaone Yep 180ish with ram air effect, slightly less without. More than enough either way. I think you ought to name the buggy "Rooster" because it'll be throwing huge ones.
Been a subscriber for a while now but just realizing now what sort of madman you truly are. I can't wait to see this project take off. I've dreamed of building an off road cart with an R6 engine in it for years now. You've eaten my dream and shit it out whole on RU-vid. I love it!
Good progress! I was really concerned about the lateral load transfer within the transmission until you mentioned the external bearings. Watching with interest! Thanks for the update- Fred
Thanks for watching, hey hows that google+ treating you lol, can't stand it myself, now we all have two accounts and soon I bet they axe youtube and turn it into google+ only, well it is free after all I guess
groutaone thinking about it, its probably what will happen and its a shame. I liked the old youtube better. And if it does turn into google+ completly its gonna suck really bad.
Very nice grouta can't wait to heart that busa sing. Have you ever considered converting your shop to gasification to run your power? An old truck engine could work as a generator.
One of the cool things about your videos is that no matter what the topic is it is always interesting and educational at the same time. Keep up the great work bud.
its true, but its not just the content,. Even if he did a video about the configuration of his bathroom id watch it because i just like the guy, how he acts, how he speaks, etc. its just a plus that the content he does fits with what i like to watch
Looking forward to watching the vids, the first vid i watched on yer channel was thr buggy in snow,☺Busha engine will make it GO!!! defo ,all the best good buddy,Greeting from Scotland.
Did you think about the chain lengt? Over here in holland they use busa engine and gsxr engines in what they call sprinters a lot. Some of them even use 2 gsx1000r engines. But some of them had problems with the chains just melting because they where to short and had not enough air to cool it down again in that small part between the sprockets. 1 even went and bought a dragrace chain that would hold the power of a pro drag bike. But that thing broke on the buggy too. And then they tought lets look why it breaks. Turned out the chain just was completely turned blue because of the heat that got in it.
Looks like a nice build bud. What's the reason for running a chain to the gearbox then another chain to the final drive? Couldn't you just run one chain to the gearbox and connect your cv's to the gearbox? If anyone could answer this, I'd appreciate it.
Looking good groutaone ! A nice low profile sump on the Busa lump would help lower the center of gravity you can see my sump in this vidja daxro worklog 7 Hayabusa Engine Hanging out
where are u working ?? it is great to see your videos --the above car seems to look like a all terrain vehicle ,i have some doubts regarding the intake runner design & i want to clarify it (i'm making a F3 car)(currntly i'm in FSAE INDIA)
bet you were pretty excited to see that motor hanging inside the frame haha. Hey, if you have a sec I started my turbo project if you wanted to check it out and had advice or any input on my work so far.
Maybe not PART 37..... but at least something new and some progressssssss. Are you now scared to enjoy the usual snack of Sparkplugs and crispies after the video?
Short chain is a bad idea! They heat up real quick therefore causing a ton of extra wear. This shortens the life of the chain by ton! Might want to sit on it for a little while longer and figure out a way to maybe not use a chain and turn the engine sideways to make it shaft driven or something.. I dont know.
I would think the rear tires will be done before the chains, this is the kind of project where it's ok to throw some parts at it once in a while, if it was my daily driver and had to get me to work every day I would worry about tearing stuff up but not really a problem here
groutaone Oh alright. I understand. I am also building a sandrail and I bought a jeffco box which has a reverse option, differential and 930 cv outputs all factored in.
Google plus is total shit ,I had my computer remember my account and always logged in as I wanted but then Google plus came along and I had to make a whole new account that shows im brand new and lost all my favorited videos and friends I hate it man .
