Bush - Little Things 

English version of Nirvana - that's a good summary. I think that the whole era was just so packed with solid grunge (Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, STP, Soundgarden etc.) that a lot of good bands got lost in the proverbial shuffle.

Right and similarly, canned dog food is the dog version of a steak dinner from an upscale restaurant and similarly, one is far superior to the other.

How did they not. Howard Stern was huge in the 90s and constantly raved about them being his favorite band.

It seemed Sixteen Stone was a hit or even a blast. Swallowed debuted well, Greedy Fly did moderately so and I'm not sure the other three songs off of Razorblade Suitcase really made their marks. Then Bush's next 2 Cd's each had about 1 hit as best recalled, that got some recognition. Eah, huh what happened.... At least Razorback Suitcase seemed like another good replacement for Sixteen Stone.

+Mike Hegarty I don't know about it being the last time. Every other decade, it seems, a new movement comes around that restores the backbone of Rock into the music and calls it something brand new.

Saw them at Reunion Arena for Edge X-Mas 1999. Blink 182, Powerman 5000, Bowling For Soup, and they were the headliner. They closed with this song and before he starts in with “I touch your mouth..” he threw his guitar into the stands and jumped into the crowd. The band kept repeating the guitar riff until he got back on stage, ran to the back to grab a new guitar, ran back out and jumped into the air and as soon as he landed, “I TOUCH YOUR MOUTH….!!!!” Blew the fucking roof off. I’m getting goose bumps thinking about it. Still the best band I’ve ever seen live.

Then with music in general, it was one decent song and the rest filler. The ability to purchase just the song you wanted was a nice change if you wanted to make sure the artist was compensated for the download. Until then I would download illegal because I didn't think it was worth spending 15-20$ on one song.

I was born in 1977 & I grew up right in the thick of the 90's scene & was in high school in the mid 90's with all those bands you mentioned. But I grew up in Canada & we also had some good kick ass alternative Canadian bands that I was really into & seen live many times like The Tea Party,I Mother Earth,Sloan,Econoline Crush,13 Engines,Our Lady Peace,Killjoys,54-40,Big Wreck,Thornley,Big Sugar,Tragically Hip,Moist,Limblifter,Age of Electric,Rusty,The Gandharvas,The Headstones,Wide Mouth Mason,etc. But all those Canadian bands I mentioned were huge in the 90's for me & I've seen them all live, as well as Alice N Chains,Bush,Silverchair,Soundgarden,Nine Inch Nails in Toronto,Ontario. I have a 15 year old son who doesn't like the rock music scene what so ever & is into that new dance music garbage that these young kids listen to nowadays & it's so awesome to hear a 17 year old appreciating the rock scene from the 90's that I grew up with. But seriously check out some of those Canadian alternative bands I mentioned especially The Tea Party,I Mother Earth,Sloan,Big Wreck,Our Lady Peace,The Headstones,those bands I listened to a lot back in the 90's in high school & still do to this day.& another band I already mentioned called Silverchair who are from Australia I think you might really dig.
