Spring has come and is generous as usual. The nights are still cold though but there is already a wide range of wild food to pick. I deciced to use wild garlic, primrose, wood sorrel and nettles for my wild bannocks baking. What I did was just working the weeds in the bannocks' dough placing it on a pan next to a fire till baked well.
Another wild thing I did was wild garlic leaves pickling. For that I just rolled some ramsons leaves, put the into jars covered with salty water - 1 table spoon for 1 litre of water - and closed the jars tightly. Will see what happens with that after two weeks time.
For camping I built a lean-to. Used some evergreem branches for that. It's not bombproof though, but good enough for mild weather camping.
