I like that satchel, especially the bottle sleeves inside but have found that it's easy to overload and it's not very comfortable when heavy. At a certain weight, you're better off with a backpack.
Haversacks arent suppose to be heavy or replace a backpack. If thsts what you have been doing then misusing or misunderstanding the purpose of a haversack.
@@bushcraftjoe1well maybe so, I just find myself being mindful of what gear I am packing in that bag. It holds plenty of gear, it just gets heavy. Don't get me wrong, I love the bag, I just don't pack it too heavy. When I do get heavy, I split the load between this bag and my foxtrot or just use a back pack.
