I watch your videos about every evening--so relaxing and mindful. I'm even more mindful about pouring milk on my cereal now! You've helped me slow down and appreciate small things.
i feel he talks to much. Other than that i really loved it. Jokes aside It was very nice to see all of that. Loved the spork and how it came out in the end.
Found this channel by accident. I am not usually a watcher of these outdoors videos, too much ego and ads, not enough nature. During these really challenging times in the U.S., watching these at night before bed is better than any pill to help one calm down and relax, even better than good weed. I live in the redwoods in northern California, and have done a lot of camping, some with others, mostly alone. You, sir, capture the essence of solo camping better than anyone I have ever seen. The peace, the silence, the scary noises (and I agree, Huevos Grandes!), the joy of making something by hand either through the lost arts of whittling and woodcraft or through your apparent enjoyment of cooking. And your videography makes it feel like we are in camp, with you. Hats off to you, great job!
You tell exactly what I want to say about this great man. I ‘ve followed a lot of camping chanels but no one can be compared to him. Just like you, I watched him by chance and I immediately followed his chanel and I realised how talent he was. He’s the best.
I am really enjoy watching your video each time that always give me difference amazing things and inspiring me dream into your adventuting world. We hope you must be take care to keep in safe by yourself during exploring. A fan from Taiwan, china
For carving the Spork I used a piece of semi dry maple I cut next to my house at home. For igniting the first fire I used a piece of fatwood I harvested from a low hanging dead branch from a pine.
Dude that was amazing work! We found you because of #JoeRobinet and #Scout The camera work was good but I ask you same question as I did #ShawnJames at #MyselfReliance. Wby do you not talk or do voice overs? Granted you do not have to be #ScrambledO 🤣 but we would love to hear whats going on. Question for you, why did you not make a fire reflector? Seems it would have increased your heating potential back into the tent. But seriously great job, new fan and subscribers now.
Thanks a lot! I don't know but up until now I've always had the idea that there would be no talking. I think me stuttering bad English would ruin the mood in my videos. But that being said I'm not saying I never will speak, we will see. Im curious can you explain what you mean by you found me because of Joe R and Scout thanks. And why I didn't make a fire reflector? This time because my sleeping bag with the bottle of hot water was enough. I only build reflectors when its really cold. Thanks again!
@@Swedwoods I search for others and watch videos. You were on a similar list and recommendation. If you do not know him you do similar stuff. 🤔😁 Very good work, his dog Scout has terminal cancer so he has been talking a lot about him and his memories. Do you follow #SurvivalLilly? She also does great videos. Have a blessed Sunday and keep up the great work!
Yes it will work I went out in size 2 for years before I got my first size 3. Often even a size one + two, which sadly is how they deliver them sometimes. Make loops of rope through the eyelets around the bottom edge of the Lavvu to be able to use bigger tent pegs and lift the lavvu so its not directly in contact with the ground. Only a cm or so. This will give you a bit extra space. Also the lavvu dries up fast after rain this way. You get good ventilation but if it's to chilly just throw some spruce bows, leaves, moss, snow or what you got outside to seal up the crack. Watch on RU-vid how to set it up. A LOT of mistakes is very common when people set it up the first time. Bring needle and thread because the buttons get loose pretty much always on lavvus that has been in storage for 30 years.
You made the best Spoon and Fork I've ever seen on RU-vid!!! That was great, very good video I really enjoyed it!!❤️👍 From 🇺🇸 🙏 ☮️ wherever you were it was absolutely beautiful!!!!
My first wild camp video is almost 90% blair witch! I still haven't uploaded it yet Stanislav as I'm having some trouble with the editing, why not subscribe so when it is online you can watch? I just don't know when it wil be done, there are other videos you can watch in the meantime.cheers brother :)
I really enjoy your videos and this was another great one. I need to get back to the woods. I didn't camp much but was a deer hunter and never really care if I kill one for me it was the enjoyment of just sitting out in the quiet of the woods and listening to the sounds. Please keep making these great videos
Great video again. I look everyday for your videos. I love the calm and steady camera movement and tripod filming. I feel great after I have watched your videos. I never turn seasick og carsick. 😂😂😂 So keep up the good work. Best wishes from Arve Herman Tangen from Trysil in Norway 🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴
Beautiful vid. Every time i’m confused when i pitch the canvas tent. Your vid is so informative. And How i call that string? i tried to get it but didn’t. Anyway it’s good vid. Thank you for uploading (sorry for my poor english im korean)
Wow I have never heard ice freezing before!! Heard about it. Totally the bestest part of the video beside the other best parts. To me forests have such an amazing energy which takes a person away from the "real" lives we live. Which are totally sanitary and actually devoid of life in many ways. Except for time with the family of course. Deep forests are something a lot of people cannot handle. Way to much energy going on. We have been separated from that greatly. You ever had a crazy surreal experience out there?
Totally agree. It takes time to get used to the forest. A lot of people, in fact all people who long for the woods talk about getting lost in the silence for days and days and just enjoy enjoy enjoy...but in reality its pretty hard. Dark, lonely and you are cold most of the time out of the sleeping bag, you get sick and struggles on. Ive been going into the wild pretty much every week for 3 years now and ...now I can say I'm finally totally unaffected by it. Im more anxious in a city. And regularly I've been a woods dweller since early childhood, back in the day when parents for some reasons just let us go unattended, and I got a pretty boring answer to you...In all that time I never saw anything out of the ordinary that could not be explained. I had a surreal experience 20 years ago when I was 20 years old thought...but that was hallucinations because of dehydration once when I was lost in the wild up north in Sweden.
Hey not a boring reply at all!! I remember the days when I was a kid our parents said be home when the street lights come on. I still did that with my kids. Guess I would be a bad parent now. But they have to learn to navigate the world. Yea I hate big cities and crowds. I like relaxed and quiet. And I have no problem being alone. Once you get past the fear of being alone in the outdoors it is easy peasy. Way more danger in big cities surrounded by everyone. Just driving is incredibly dangerous but we accept it and don't give it a second thought.
Folk vill bara se mina ammo can stoves.
Anyways, keep up the good work!
LOL... well for some reason I think its scarier to watch the vid than actually experiencing it for real. When I watch it I go into film watching mode and in films scary things that make you jump happen. Ive been out so much in the woods in recent years I know nothing scary or dangerous ever happen out there. At least not here. I know nature has an infinite number of sounds. The city however can be frightening for real!
