With proper layering this is a very good jacket. Near $495, but was able to get 25% off, which sealed the deal.

I believe the new cruisers use imported wool from Italy. The vintage coats used Pendleton wool. I have two Filson coats: a new Mackinaw cruiser, and a 25yo double Mackinaw cruiser. Both keep me plenty warm.
