Commenting with my second account, and rewatching the match. The Overlord player definitely didn't go all-in when it was needed, that round where he could have dropped the Legend as an attacker; Griffin was there to be Stride Fodder anyways. He played way too cautious at times and wrong decisions too.
Man I really want to see Jesus d Herrera return to Vanguard and compete with the latest Royal Paladin Blaster Blade, I really want to see how he’ll build his deck.
in the tournament there were many Link Joker and Kagero players. Those deck focus on retiring and locking rear guards. His Blaster deck focuses on deck thinning. He also had many cards that could return to his deck with their own abilities or go into his soul. This in turn made the chance for many triggers higher, it also made the opponent unable to use many of their decks abilities, because he doesn't really need many or any rear guards. While it is true he got lucky in the end. You've got to admit that he has some serious skill in the game.
I am lucky enough for my friend to have brought me to this game, I'm really *really* new rn lol. Just bought my first deck, can't remember the name but it's kinda signature move is 'delete' or something, I'm finding it really fun and it's awesome to be lucky enough to play it with a friend
Rewatching the match 5 years later. The Overlord player definitely didn't go all-in when it was needed, that round where he could have dropped the Legend as an attacker; Griffin was there to be Stride Fodder anyways. He played way too cautious at times and wrong decisions to guard the wrong attacks as well.
Seriously. Especially at 31:58. He seriously had no reason to look at his gzone multiple times. It's like he thought he could make some clock run out with the guy at 5 damage and win by default. Also, if he kept the nehalem for his last attack instead of that g1, he could've swung for 30k+ and made the guy use 3 cards instead of just two. So many plays made that made me sad as a Kagero player.
i have, but the kagero player would look through his G-Zone even without a heal, and he would just keep searching his drop as if the numbers would change.
I already have done so, and I still stand by my statement. Anyone who uses the reason of stress for their loss doesn't negate the mistakes made or the fact that it resulted in a loss. Both players were under the same stress, and yet the Blasters showed fully thinking about moves, where as Kagero, who took ample time to think about his moves, still made questionable motions as Da'Shawn Warner pointed out in the lower comment. Stress affecting people differently is known, but everyone is under the same stress and part of training is learning how to cope with it. Congrats to getting second place I will say, but it doesn't change my opinion about the match.
Felicidades Jesús!!!! Gracias por poner a nuestro pais en la cima del mundial de CFV!!! (Congratulations Jesus! Thank you for putting our country on top of the CFV worlds!) SALUDOS FROM MÉXICO FELLOW CARDFIGHTERS!!!
aichi of 2017 that was an amazing game! Theyre fast! And He was so Familiar about aichi's royal paladin deck! It WAS AMAZING! i will be playing this game at bushiroad fest 2018 lets hope i can move to the finals! ^^ my deck is neo nectar,Link joker and i have royal paladin deck Im Actually Training to Use royal paladin deck im planning to use it or neo nectar at the fight lol
I feel like for the 2nd game, hank should have called the conroe to the front then attack the wingal with conroe, so that way he can attack the vanguard twice to push more damage
Just wanted to point out that the judge was wrong at 30:28. He wouldn't be able to Denial Griffin Blaster Blade because the Gancelot in the Gzone gives them resist. :P
The only time Kagero can activate Denial Griffin is during the Blaster player's turn, which it was, meaning that the resist skill was already active. (ahem ahem ahem).
@@FluteHaoran1997 DifferentFight is a Vanguard RU-vidr and has been for a long time. Not only that he is a player himself. At the time Gancelot was an important card for Blasters and he should have known.
In TURN 27 or 28 G NEXT,Aichi’s vanguard did 4 trigger checks, his rear guard Exceed had 3 trigger check. Its possible to do trigger check with rear guard if the clan has the power to do it.
Daniel Herrera firstly congrats man well this was my first time watching championship and realized how much anime and reality differ I mean how about saying ride drive check it felt a bit quite
@@natural9721 probably blasters are easier, since Blaster blade just have on place skill. But Overlord(not kagero, Blademaster is doing just fine) is different, take Conroe for example, on place reveal grade 3, find overlord, and discard 1. You'll find that the Ace requires you to discard 1 overlord to stand, meaning that during the conroe discard, you could only discard other cards(mostly boosters ) to save those overlords on hand, and without striders the condition is just very bad.
2022 watching this again, God I love old vanguard it had its own problems but it was a great era where you feel like "yeah I can win against this, YEAH I'LL WIN" I miss that feeling, now we just have "Gold, gold, gold, fish, pirate skull dragon and Ghost infinite combo, one turn KO no chance for you to win good bye get out of here, consistent Chronojet support? WHAT'S THAT!?" Obviously I'm overreacting and I love the maidens but come on bushi Reverse chronojet Dragon or atleast something to help Chronojet here man
@@joshuagreen8995 Reverse stride, using a heal trigger grade 0 to use because I imagine if your gonna reverse stride you gotta use a reverse type of cost and it would be really limited because of the amount of heals so they would need to be high risk high reward and chronojet would get an ability maybe "When strode or ridden upon by a grade 4 or higher unit with Reverse in its name [COST CB1 and call a unit as lock] then something something added to it, maybe a skill to unlock rear guards and time leap them, it would add more versatility and the potential of counter plays against link jokers by using lock against them like most of the reverse cards, and maybe a new G unit/Grade 4 normal unit that's specifically for lock with a back story of how it's an alternate parallel dimension unit of Gear Chronicle and are made to destroy time, ahhh the possibilities are endless I'm getting ideas and all of them for naught I want something new and refreshing for gears but something that makes sense in the grand scheme of things like old G where chronojet was evolved into Z form because it was needed I want more story more passion into V I want it to succeed but it's hard to put myself into it more
@@shifter4375 Personally I think it'd be ironic if they did something where you fulfill the reverse stride condition of locking some grades of rgs to prevent the opponent from taking their next turn. Yes it's essentially just giving you another turn, but it's so much more evil to just say the opponent doesn't get their turn.
@@joshuagreen8995 that's really harsh and devilish but reverse really are just more evil so it makes sense, ooo I wanna think of a name for jet since you have names like "Deadliest Beast deity" so for Chronojet it would "Time Distortion Chronojet Dragon Reverse"
