I feel the Bushnell company should make a more detailed video on how to utilize this Phantom 2 GPS instrument. I am sure one will get more familiar with it the more one uses it, but it helps if the company makes a detailed video that illustrates and explains all the features, so as to save time needed for familiarity on an actual golf course.
I agree with N Peter Antone’s comment. A more detailed video would be more helpful. I haven’t been able figure out how to measure to hazards, bunkers, water hazards, etc. I had a Garmin for ten years and was very happy with it, except it took batteries and the cost of batteries adds up over time.
Bob, WHAT THEY DON'T TELL YOU IS THAT WHEN THE BATTERY WEARS OUT, (year and a half) IT'S NOT REPLACABLE. YOUR PHANTOM BECOMES A COLORFUL PAPERWEIGHT.....IT'S NOT REPLACABLE....TOSS IT.....JUNK
Does this model work while charging ? The original doesn’t. Nice to use with a portable charger. Also , since it’s Bluetooth, would be nice connected to your phone and alert you when it’s not in range. In case you forget it on the cart.
I can confirm that YES it does work while charging. Thats actually why the charger cable is really long. It's designed to mount on the frame of the golf cart, while the charging cable is long enough to plug into the USB port in the golf cart. I have also passed on your feedback regarding the "phone and alert when its not in range" and the Bushnell team thought this was a good idea and will see if they can make this happen.
The display goes dim after a few seconds. Is there anyway to keep it bright w/o having to push the right button briefly to bring the display brightness back?
The review was terrible not enough information. How about explaining what the 3 buttons on the left side do. That would be a good start. Button on the right only for on and off?
I wish I could turn off the scoring feature completely. It just gets in the way and if I press the wrong button I have to figure out how to get back to where I want to be. I just want a GPS, not an integrated score card.
Hi, I have a Phantom 2 and have a question relating to editing a scorecard - How do you edit a card that is saved and then sync it back to the Bushnell App?
@@golfboxau Thanks! Curious why there’s no mention of this in any of the online advertising or product videos? Seems like a a fairly important feature to ignore. Had I known, I would not have purchased the Garmin G10 instead.
I've not seen 4 of these videos on RU-vid and they are all almost exactly alike. It's like Bushnell has told everyone what to say. Funny thing, none of them says anything about how to measure your shot distance.
WHEN THE BATTERY WEARS OUT ( year and a half) YOU TOSS THE PHANTOM IN THE GARBAGE....IT'S NOT REPLACABLE. THEY FAIL TO TELL YOU THAT. IT'S JUNK AND THEIR AD CAMPAIGN IS A SCAM.
