On a typical BA interview session could you outline some of the almost unavoidable questions that may pop up and how to approach them rightfully. If possible at least 1 to 10 of them. You're a super mentor to so many of us. Thanks

That could vary based on the experience level of the business analyst. If I'm hiring an entry-level/graduate business analyst the focus might be more on general motivation/proactivity/intelligence and less on how they might approach a job they've never had. For an experienced BA who I'm expecting to act independently, I might be more focused on past successes/experience and approach to requirements gathering, documentation, communication, etc. What is your experience level?

Hey pretty cool you put yourself in the line to show your CV like that! Love your videos btw. I have learned a lot and personally I think you motivated me on my previous job to suceed my expectations. Would you share some thoughts on Jira? I want to know how you share the info in the user stories, if you follow some formato like, for example, I add a couple *context* so people has some introduction, *problem* great for the dev team to understand what are we teying to solve, *value* useful to undertand why are we doing this, *user requirements/acceptance criteria*, *considerations* to add random info, *resources* to store some useful links to documentation, desings and mockups, etc. Depending on the complexity I skip some sections. Also if you use roadmaps when you have several epics/stories working in parallel with the same team. Thnks again and see you on 2023!

Generally speaking, what goes into the user story should be based the needs of the people prioritizing, developing, and testing it. You all should be working together refine user stories, thus you should be getting input on what to include (collaboration). For example, as a BA if I know the dev team has UX expertise, i may not bother with mockups or wireframes and give them the freedom to come up something great. What if you’re applying for a system analyst with no experience but some project management?

The advice doesn't change really. It's about tailoring the story of your experiences have led you to a systems analyst job. In IT there is some much role overlap depending on team structure, that roles like Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Proj. Manager, etc can easily jump around depending on aptitude.

I made this template using a prototyping tool. You could probably accomplish the same with any prototyping or PowerPoint as long as you set the dimensions to paper (A4).
