Thank you Chandoo for so nicely explaining about these two most important analyst roles. It's really very clear and beneficial to someone considering career in this area! Kudos! 😊👍
@@chandoo_ you are missing the biggest point, there are only 85,000 regular H-1B jobs and very few of them are for business analyst or data analyst, most being for software developer, so if you want to maximize your H-1B opportunities, your primary focus you would think would be software development however there is unlimited number of H-1B research jobs, and they don't need software develop or is it in research they need data analysts. So to maximize your H1B opportunities best to get a master's degree in data science or business analytics, with electives in software development and information technology so that you can maximize your H-1B job opportunities. After you have your H-1B job you can take additional certificates in whatever you want to learn and do. You could study business analytics or business analyst but if you don't have a job, who cares?

I could not stope to smile when i saw the way you present data analysts and business' analyst. I really love it and i have got what i need from your presentation . thank you so much and please keep going.
I'm here because my position seemed to blur the lines between ba vs da. This confirms it. I perform both descriptions and I have zero complaints because I'm in the growth zone and crushing it. I'm also an introvert and its one of the reasons why I chose this career path. I like how my job blends the roles because I get to switch focus as needed. I started in Feb and barely understood powerbi and now I'm doing api calls and sentiment analysis etc. I love having the ability to get the answers people need and then turn around and advice on the optimal route forward.
@@Pattersm networking, internal referral, and general familiarity with the position requirements. Oh and showing genuine interest in the role (asking good questions and exhibiting enthusiasm). That was what made me stand apart from the rest per my manager.
I kept seeing videos for becoming a data analyst and how easy it is, so I thank you Chandoo for giving it to me straight. Now, I have some Idea of what I need to do in order to get into the field!
I am currently doing BBA in Accounting. I will graduate within a year. I am exploring career options. In this semester I have a course on business analysis and this really spiked my interest on becoming a BA . I will admit I have limited knowledge one this but am willing to learn about it. This video really helped me to understand more, Thanks :D
Hay dude I'm also Persuing BBA in finance and accounting , can you name the course which you are doing and some others , i want to do so course so please help me in naming a few
Based on your definitions, I was hired and am being paid as a business analyst, but I am performing the duties of a data analyst. I'll learn as much as I can from the experienced team I was placed on and then find a data analyst position.
Each time I watched your video there's the urge to want to know more. You are simple and straight to the point. Wow great job and more grace to you.keep up the work cos with all this I have a career.thanks again. Have a great day
Thank you so much Chandoo for this nice explanation about BA and DA. Can you please make a video about Financial Analyst and what skill required for that.
Pls talk about systems analyst and scope for people who are currently working in the ERP field. How can we improve our career and what are the skills that need to be developed to excel in this career! Do let us know what are the other future options available for people who are currently working as ERP consultant
I really like your hat idea creativity on BA and DA explanation. I will continue to follow your channel... The role play on your video tuitorial, is again another excellent input to the community. Thank you and cheers for all the great sharing..
A business Analyst's role is very close to that of a Product Manager. I worked in a startup where these roles were as loosely defined as PM being the product lead and to an extent architect as well. Could you do a video on the differences between Business Analyst and a Product Manager?
Thank you very much for explaining! I am studying Data Analysis, but also got offered a Business Analyst's job position. And I needed to understand the difference, your video helped me a lot!
@@GianChan Hi! Ir now started a work as a BA while still doing a DA course. As a BA I get to read client's documents, draw process drawings, describe processes and learning much about information systems and IT. In the BA course I get to work with data in databases and sheets and draw graphs. In both cases I need to present findings and solutions for the client, as well as use visuals and make presentations. If you like numbers and discoveries, go for DA. If you like working with people and organize processes and IT, go with BA. :)
Thanks a lot The video was so clear I am a data scientist at a reputed Eye hospital India and now building AI models. I like the head concept so people can visual has and see things which was very nice
Hello, I want to change my career from finance to IT...I don't want to go for coding & also looking to work from home.Which one is better BA or DA.pls suggest & which course to do?
Hi , just stumbled upon your video. Thanks for explaining so clearly . Helped me decide. I am really interested in becoming a BA. currently in finance , although my role seems to be slowly edging into BA category. Do I need a formal certifications , to get into the field ?
Every company has a different domain, how can one as a Business Analyst know all domains? What to do if a recruiter demands a domain knowledge or can we ask them to make us learn or train on their domain?
I already have. Check out Important skills for data analysts playlist - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gVr9f1GJdZc.html Data analysis with Excel playlist - ru-vid.com/group/PLmejDGrsgFyBCxF37lewZtX6c1kJXyLt3
Thanks for creating detailed analysis. Is there any need of using Python programming in DA role? Is it becoming necessary as per today's demand or it is optional to have python skills ?
Hi Chandoo , Can i Know how much a senior data analyst will earn compared to India and abroad according to ur experience...How much salary can a fresher and a senior data analyst expect and what's the growth in this field
Business analysts work between business teams and technology teams. Business analysts talk to business teams, do requirement analysis and documentation, prepare designs and mockups, prepare test cases and scenarios, and prepare business proposals. Data analysts work between data teams and business teams. Data analysts talk to data teams and business teams, prepare data for analysis, analyze data, build data models, build dashboards, and present findings to stakeholders. Both careers require different skills and have different career paths.
Chandoo if one is not from engineering/computer applications background, or for that matter STEM domain, can they still get into data analyst job role?
Thank you Chandoo.. that was an excellent video for someone trying to understand what is the role of BA or DA.. i have worked in manual testing for a few years and now on a career break. I would like to start my career again in either BA or DA role. I would like to know if you have any suggestions on courses for both or will my experience help me in getting into these roles?

What about BI Analyst, Is it different from Business Analyst. I can see it is similar to Data Analyst as both focus on data visualization and the same skills are required by both?
Info is really great but there is no openings for Businesses Analyst for freshers, I am searching from 4 months but I am not even seen at least 1 opening for fresher
