For those of you just joining us, welcome! We're Vic and Jo and we've been narrowboating around the UK for the last few years on our 54ft narrowboat Zero. Last year we decided to give up our jobs in the city and add another boat to our fleet in hope of turning it into a travelling cafe and becoming full time boating baristas. We'll also be having a baby in just a few months time!

My sister used to give out 'over ordered' ice cream "novelties" to neighborhood kids when she owned a small general store. Best advertising she ever did. Parents remembered. They might go to a big market for groceries, but many families made a point to get their bread and milk, batteries from her. She'd order and have on hand weird little things that only she'd have for customers. But... they built a chain gas station, market 2 miles away and she couldn't compete.

Vic and Jo prove every week that you do not have to pepper you vids with drone shots to produce quality work... the quality of the work is dependent on the quality of the editing. New subscriber here! I started watching back when y'all were doing renovations on Holly, but then life got busy for me! Now I am all caught up😁. I have enjoyed watching. You guys always have a smile on your faces and always have this easy, happy, enjoy everyday kinda attitude. Its helped me to try and remember that each day. Hi Jennifer! We do know someone who is a nurse and lives on a narrowboat! She just stays in the area of her work and moves a car around when she moves the narrowboat, it can be done! :-D

We have Blue Heron rookeries along the creeks near us here in Ohio. This is what the Internet has to say about it, "A “rookery” is a colony of nests. Jo should talk to her Doctor about the pushing and straining at the locks, especially as she gets further along. Just got home from creative writers group meeting then going for lunch at a small consignment store & cafe here in our little midwestern county seat and farm burg. The two teen girls who work at the ice cream and coffee counter were putting away single serving ice cream containers & that brought to mind a recent vlog from someone on RU-vid, so, after the lunch rush ended I had to blab about them & the one gal was interested enough to ask name of channel, which I actually remembered!
