I can certainly hear the influence of Italian opera from Bellini to Verdi in these elegant works. The wonderful clarinetist here is really singing with bel canto vocal inflections and coloratura phrasing. I only knew Busoni for his heavy Germanic opera "Dr. Faustus," but you've introduced me to his lighter classically Italianate style. Thank you.
Thanks, this moments is very refreshing and relaxing the mind n heart. Sounds good n light, beautiful lovely classical music.Busoni! So incredibly n intensely beautiful! Infinite love!🎶
This music i new for me, I knew that Busoni has made a concertino but not that he also wrote a sonata and many short pieces. good music to relax on and well played.
The track names do seem to be a bit mixed up. These are the ones I can identify from the score I have: 00:00:00 Suite BV 88, Op. 10: III. Elegia in E-Flat Minor 00:03:34 Suite BV 88, Op. 10: I. Improvvisata in B-Flat Major (Impromptu) 00:05:47 Suite BV 88, Op. 10: II. Barcarola in E-Flat Major 00:08:25 Suite BV 88, Op. 10: IV. Danza campestre in A-Flat Major 00:10:04 Suite BV 88, Op. 10: V. Serenata in B-Flat Major 00:12:59 Solo Dramatique in B-Flat Minor, BV 101 00:16:54 Andantino in C Major, BV 107 00:20:27 Serenade in C Major, BV 108 00:24:28 Novellette in D Minor, BV 116 00:35:13 Andante con moto in E Minor, BV 72 01:02:42 Suite BV 88, Op. 10: VI. Tema variato in F Minor
wow. I bought the album as soon as I started listening, but I doubt I'll ever listen to it the whole way through, as I did today. Someone already observed the influence of Italian opera, to which the superb clarinetist (another gifted musician of whom I knew nothing) seems superbly attuned. A perfect way to spend two hours. Loved hearing the Concertino in B-flat major last, in some ways a composite of the highlights of the preceding compositions.
44:55 is Abendlied, Op. 85 No. 12 by Robert Schumann, originally for Piano arranged by Busoni. I don't know how much else is missing in terms of info in the tracklist.
@@amerdidi3126 Sorry, no. Still messed up (e.g. track starting at 54:49 is marked "Vivace e marcato" on your list, which it definitely isn't). Too bad; very beautiful music and I'd love to know what's what. Oh, well, pleasant listening anyway. Cheers!
