Started on Lexapro and while it worked well,the sexual side effects and emotional blunting was too much to accept so my psychiatrist switched me to Buspar and it has keep me stable to the point where I am looking to get off of meds entirely, i am on 15 mg a day and it has worked well ,no side effects but also having a positive outlook has helped me out of this bad state!! Thx for sharing

I think that’s the real intended method to using these drugs, allow them to help you get through a rough period of time and then wean off. I wish you all the best!
@@nickold4499 yeah ,it did for me! While Lexapro helped out alot, the emotional blunting and sexual side effects were a problem so my psychiatrist put me on Buspar and it worked wonders for me and i am now completely off meds. Give it some time and i am sure the Buspar will work fine for you and reverse those effects!! Hope things work out for you and stay positive!

I’m so glad I saw this video. I messaged you on your 7 week follow up video. I’m on day 14 of buspar and really struggling today so it feels like I’m defeated. I’ve had a couple really good days so I’m glad to know that I really should muscle through another week or two to be sure it’s working before I switch.
Ugh, 😩 I absolutely know what you’re going through. It truly does not seem apparent how anything could possibly get better! I remember really dancing on the very very edge of quitting so many times in that period because I was so frustrated with the INCREASED anxiety and just the sheer weirdness of what I was going through. But I’m going in my third week so if I experience more anxiety and that numb feeling I can at least have hope that it could pass by week 4. Thank you for doing these videos! I am in my 4th week of buspar. Yesterday I felt super depressed. I have never felt that level of depression before it was like a heavy unrelenting straitjacket. I do not have an issue with depression so it caught me really off guard. Made me really question if I should continue. I’m going to power thru it with some kratom, extra sleep and healthy food because I am hoping this is just a temporary side effect.

Firstly, it might give a false sense that these meds are working for you, and there is absolutely no good reason to take it if it’s not working for you. Try your best to just rely on the medication, exercise, sleep, and clean diet, then you can really assess if it’s working for you!! Also when you mess with your serotonergic system your body has a hard time equilibrating to the med…and it already takes soooo long to get there so better not to prolong the process! Again, I hope you’re doing incredibly!
Anxiety / Panic is even worse for People like me, who also have high Blood Preassure and high cholesterol, for me works Metoprolol 50 mg, and 150 mg Trazodone, but i would like to try Buspirone, or Buprinion,
again, not a medical professional here! But maybe if you have hypertension, potentially Wellbutrin, being a stimulant, may not be the move! But again, what do I know?! I’m glad metoprolol works!!!😌
I was prescribed Wellbutrin. My anxiety is off the wall and always on edge. I haven’t even started it yet and I’m just too afraid to. How would you compare Buspar to Wellbutrin for crazy worry/anxiety? I was on Effexor a few years ago and have zero desire to go back to a SSRI
Wellbutrin made my anxiety worse for like 2 months, If I wasn’t already on buspar at that time i would’ve exploded like a time bomb. my personal non-medical opinion buspar is like 1000 times better than Wellbutrin for anxiety. Wellbutrin isn’t an anxiety drug its for depression. I honestly think Buspar is better for depression than Wellbutrin is for depression but everyone is different. I’m on the SSRI Zoloft it was a very, very very tough road took me like three months to really feel like it was working and those were hellish months. It did help me take the final edge off of my anxiety and depression that Buspar couldn’t really touch.

Hey, doing well! I need to do an update video. Still on the buspar! I started at 5 mg and then moved up to 10mg when i started, that worked for me. side effects just headaches and a lil zombie feeling for a week or two. My anxiety got a tiny bit worse before it got better. good luck! i wish you the best of health!
I am taking 10 mg of busbar me and my doctor are Considering Wellbutrin sr low doses but nervous taking two meds . Busbar is working but I still get sad moments.
i felt like this too!…i started the buspar first and then the wellbutrin about a month and a half later. it took me about 4-5 weeks before i felt the wellbutrin working on me. (it made me a little hyper for a couple weeks and also anxious) but around the 4-5th week i felt it really level me out and my anhedonia started to slowly get better. i think its still incrementally getting me better.
actually i didn’t, i was taking melatonin in the beginning because i heard it makes it more effective. i’m generally a good sleeper, my sleep hygiene is off the charts, i don’t drink coffee and i work out. I have heard some people get insomnia but it resolves in a few weeks. Hang in there!!!!✨
