Have you ever used Buspirone? What was your experience like with it?
@RexSpeed92

BuSpar is alright, I took it to treat panic attacks and racing thoughts... it takes about 10 days to feel some mild anxiety relief. It’s more of a mild drowsy-tension relief and it does help with calming down.

My therapist recommend this drug to me. Said it was less intense than Zoloft type anti depressants. I have never been a fan of these types of meds because they make me feel like a zombie. He said this would not do that.

My experience wasn't good, unfortunately; it was great for the first 2 years (it's 3 years now) but then I started feeling severely depressed to the point where I couldn't enjoy or take pleasure in anything and gave me horrible insomnia that had me up all night a lot of nights, and my moods have been all over the place. I just got off of it a few days ago, and my anxiety went through the roof for 2 days and it settled down fortunately, but my heart is still pounding really hard and it's uncomfortable :(

Thank you for the info! I have been on Buspirone for a month now (10 mg twice daily), & I can notice a huge difference along with my bipolar depression medication (Lamotrigine 100mg daily.) . For the first time in my life, i am genuinely happy. I've spent years trying different medications for my anxiety/bipolar depression, only for them to not work. I have natural energy, motivation to get things done.. etc. These meds have saved my life.

I just recently went up to 10 mg from 5 mg 2 times a day for generalized anxiety disorder. Overall, yes you have to be very consistent with taking it, had one doctor try to say as on-need, one said consistency, nice to know that from this. Great education video for me! It definitely helps a lot compared to before I was on buspar.

How old our you?? I hate seeing people think they need a bunch of pills just to function and be there self! I scraped the bottom of the barrel of depression and anxiety.. Just getting up to brush my teeth was like climbing a mountain,or even making a sandwich..It was like a wave that I had to ride and i thought it would never take me back to shore. All these pills our going to possibly make it worse in the long run.. It's so sad to see a generation need pills so much because of how Fu*ked up everything is.. I just want you to know that I know what your going through.. It really sucks and at times it feels like this is the person you are, and you can't be yourself without a crutch! I drank heavily and took Xanax when I could.. I'm being serious when I say that you should really try and become Spiritual and start talking to Jesus.. You may laugh,and that's what I would have done if someone said that to me. You will never know peace in this world until you try it.. My words are true,and people like you and me our actually more stronger then our minds are being lead to believe! I'm not even trying to come at you the wrong way either and I hope it don't come off like I'm attacking you.. Some times we think we need all this outside help from people who don't even care about anything besides money and there own personal gain.. I actually came to own my depression but it still gets hard.. I realized that I was exactly where God wanted me,and that there were no mistakes! God bless you on your journey and I hope things get easier for you! Much love to you!

@@krisd6811 yeah,sounds just like me right now! Im getting what your saying, BELIEVE ME..I need to turn away from these stupid petty sins and repent in full... I said something to my brother the other day that just came out of my mouth without really thinking about,and it had him saying wow that is absolutely true! I said look how backwards people can become,I said it seems like people actually make them selves work harder to sin and fight tooth and nail just commit one sin when it's actually easier to just repent! One day I was thinking about just going in the woods and fasting and repenting and praying.. At times in my life I found myself fighting tooth and nail and running missions just to sin,when its free to just repent and pray! But I'm probably fighting the same battle as you,and I have scraped the bottom of the depression barrel and I'm not just saying that.. I actually felt myself go absolutely nuts and crazy one day and said to myself,wow this is what it's like to go crazy.. brushing my teeth was like climbing a mountain and all my muscles were in pain constantly and I couldn't sleep for months! It made me stronger but I wouldn't wish it on anyone.. I felt as if I was going nuts and there was nothing I could do,and that I would forever have to live like a depressed vegetable who hated the day time and couldn't leave his room! It's was like a wave of anxiety and depression that I just kept riding,and I thought it would never get better! All I could do was hope to get drunk enough to stay stable and get some sleep.. I could share some horror stories but I won't,lol... I'm alot better now,but I still have plenty of repenting to do and I hope and pray we can both be free one day of our bullshit! This world will drive you crazier then you could imagine,unless you just simply lose all care and love! And that is what the enemy is trying to achieve,and as you can see people our becoming absolutely unstable in chaotic environment! But GOD BLESS YOU FRIEND AND TAKE CARE AS BEST AS YOU CAN EACH DAY!

Just started this medication today and I am so nervous. Mainly that it will make me drowsy at work or change how I act. I’m weird about taking pills and have put off my mental health for so long. I go back for more bloodwork soon. Hoping this medication works for me.

I’m in the same boat itskyler I suddenly developed panic attacks this year in January I use to smoke weed daily in small doses and never had panic attacks now I do and I’m scared senseless to take pills for my anxiety they prescribed me escitaloprám last year in March for depression and it gave me sick side effects always wanting to faint and constant nausea. Now this year in February I was prescribed busiprone & hydroxyzine I took only the hydroxyine and fell asleep immediately 20mins afterwards only to wake up from my nap with accelerated heart beat. Ever since then I haven’t tooken none of my medications and have been suffering severe panic attacks 1 or twice daily or every other day just depends on how I am. For the month of June I was good didn’t have panic attacks only severe anxiety but dang I just wish I could find a natural remedy pills only hurt you more than they do help.

I think my buspar is causing bad chronic headaches- I’ve been taking it for almost a month now. I was taking lexapro and my doctor told me to quit cold turkey- I couldn’t so I’m taking half a pill of lexapro which for me is 2.5 mg. I don’t know if it’s taking both that’s causing headaches, the lexapro withdrawal is STILL causing headaches, or what.

Don’t work for anxiety, at least severe anxiety. It can be add to an antidepressant as an add on to boost the effect but in case of severe anxiety, it’s not quite helpful. Benzodiazepines can be addictive but at least they work for anxiety in a short term view. Of all the drugs I tried for my severe anxiety, the one with the least effect on anxiety is Buspar.

Look into your eyes. You have smiley faces ! The two white dots and the bottom part of your cornea ! If I was trippin on acid, i would definately be needing busbar lol Anyways; With my moderate ocd, and schitzophrenia delivered from Pugalistica Dementia, busbar has only been amazing, but not by itself. When combined with zzquil, its the perfect sedative. Not to strong. At night 2 doses of zzquil and 20mg of busbar. I can not find anything about mixing the two. But its A-MAY-ZING ! There is no high, no zing etc. Just relaxed :) It is way better than ambien, no ambien walrus to go on am adventure with (sad) and it does NOT make me sleep. Quality if sleep is also much better; BUT only if i combine the two :)

My symptoms Nausea Dizzy Numbness in limbs Pins and needles Dry mouth Muscle pains Heart rate Heart palpitations Blood pressure Ear pressure Bad breath Cold hands and feet Stomach trouble Acid reflux Bad dreams Vision problems. These symptoms happen at random they come and goD I had all tests done under the sun and they couldn’t find anything wrong with me. I tolerate the medications very well but don’t seem to work I was on lexapro 40mg for 6 weeks and it didn’t work I’m on 3 weeks on 100mg Zoloft now but no improvements. The persistent dizziness is the worst. Do I have a rare disease or is it actually anxiety??? Doctors keep saying it’s just anxiety. The physc doctor told me I have acute anxiety.
