I like your up your sleeve cut. I did catch and release once, I hung over a bank with my arm in the water for a while slowly moving my fingers back ń forth . I worked my way over the tail and grab that slimy tail hard and pulled. I was surprised it worked , I had a 10-12 pound dog salmon in my hands. Let the gal go back into the water after I let a little kid touch it, she swam off to do her lifetime objective.

Fishing tip: try casting with your right hand only. Think of a clock face, go straight back to 10 O'Clock while looking at where you want to cast and release at 2 o'clock. Then you can transfer the rod to your left hand. You should cast farther and more accurately. Oh always wear your bikini and you won't have to worry about those Possum Sheriffs writing you a ticket.😉

Our campground fishin' hole went all in on requiring a license since the owner went to the dark side and had the lake stocked by the PA fish commission, the filthy peasant! It was more fun to catch a moldy sneaker or inner tube for free. I fished there for years and never caught anything I was allowed to keep but it gave me something to do on Wednesday afternoons.
