The “save feature” of this game was really clever for the time. Your account number is based off your balance and your name. So because he didn’t use “Pact Nicey” again, the code he used didn’t work since it didn’t match the name he put in.

I love that there's already a building that's just marked "Zuul."

It’s really nice having Dan here to explain how it all works. I remember playing the NES version of this (which has the same gameplay) and not understanding what was going on at ALL. If you actually know how it works, this game looks pretty fun! I would love to see more of these C64 games, personally. Since I didn’t grow up with them, they’re all such a mystery to me, but Dan’s like a guru who understands the ancient secrets…

Actually Dan, the "Ghostbusters!" voice is the digitized voice of the programmer, and from what I've heard it was very tricky to do and one of the first games to do it...

The big apple most likely comes from the word "Manzana" in spanish which also means apple but is used to refer to a city block aswell and comes from "Mansana" which was a "Manso Feudal", a set of terrain given by a feudal lord to a group of peasants or landowners to work on. Most likely people hear spanish immigrants refer to streets as Manzanas and adapted it to apples in english

Did you know: Ray Parker Jr., the man who wrote the Ghostbusters theme song, was sued by Huey Lewis & the News for having taken the same bassline and saxophone lick from their song "I Want A New Drug." So every time you hear the Ghostbusters theme, Huey and his News get royalties from it. rhythm
