I've been playing the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and it is awesome! And there are so many myths in this game, I figured I would test out 20 of them and see what's confirmed, and which ones are busted.

You can move a raft sail with a zonai fan fused to your shield, but attaching said fan to the raft itself to blow into the sail won't have the same effect.

A fan fused to a shield eats through the durability pretty quick. You can just activate the fan and hold it with ultrahand instead. That way you can also steer it by rotating the fan and moving it around.

I learned the fan attached to sail thing the hard way, I was doing that stupid fucking raft quest with Sasan and tried EVERYTHING I could

The best way to use rockets when shield surfing is to use them on mostly flat ground, get their initial boost, and immediately switch to your slippery shield (frozen meat, minecart, whatever). You’ll maintain the momentum and get to use the rocket many times before it runs out. Great way to get a boost on basically flat ground.

Bee Hives are actually classified as 'gems' in the game's fusion index. So fusing them to staffs or scepters grants them amplified swarms much like how gemstones summon more elemental effects.

Froggy suit: Any armor set that includes set bonus, such as froggy suit and many other armor sets, the set bonus occurs when you upgrade *each piece* of the armor twice. Two stars on all three pieces. So you just got a tiny detail wrong here, but still good investigating!

Mirror might work to get rid of gloom hearts if it is specifically reflecting the light of the light root. I'd also check dazzle fruit, as the light the produce qualifies as sunlight in most cases (though I am unsure how you would be standing in the light of a dazzle fruit long enough for this to happen).

Do the Rocket Shield jump in Low Gravity and see the result (I have a shirt on my channel showing it). The Hover Stone also works with Zonaite spears and swords. I’ve had it on a spear since early July. Makes Addison a breeze. Armor only needs 2 upgrades to unlock set bonuses. Not sure why you said 3 for your Froggy.

And specifically shield jump just long enough to activate the rocket, then put it away with B, then activate again with A, rinse and repeat. Hold ZL the whole time of course.

1:00 They could still be wanting to get out of the camera view in selfie-mode as to take your own photo with the landscape. The fact you can turn it to then get them in the selfie means that they are now ok with it.

Fusing a Hover Stone and any Spear weapon will have the same outcome as with the boomerang (just remember that the Hover Stone will eventually disappear after multiple, extended uses).

Cooking Pot arrows do NOT immediately destroy the armor on Lynels. It will only do chip damage. Try using Hinox Toenails on single-shot arrows to quickly cut down trees.

Myth: If you fuse a rocket to a boomerang it won't come back to you but you'll get some great distance

The keese eye on a rocket doesn't make it homing, but I actually have seen a homing missile tutorial that I followed and made and it's pretty powerful and homes in on enemies

I was super excited to see koroks recharge battery! I put a korok onto a flying machine. As soon as I let go of the stick, we started to fall, and I could not talk to the korok. So then I built a blimp with a torch and flame emitter inside the balloon, so battery powers the flame emitter, but when the battery runs out, the torch remains lit and we don't fall. For a few seconds, the korok won't talk because it's still a vehicle in motion, but then I can talk to the korok and ......... No battery charge. Boo hoo!!! Not sure what's different between your setup and mine, perhaps version of the game, or perhaps because of standing on the ground, or something. Dunno. I'm on v1.1.2

I was in Tobio's Hollow chasm duping some dragon horn shards & when I ran up to collect them, the light from them restored my hearts that were taken away by gloom as if I went to the surface or a lightroot. I haven't tried this anywhere else, so not sure if it's specific to TH Chasm but I thought it was cool lol

I actually have a counter for the myth with cooking pots breaking armor. They break all armor in 1 hit EXCEPT lynel armor

I already know that this is confirmed because I use it in builds all the time but because of the weapon throwing mechanic any weapons that are moving at speed even if they are attached to a device will do that weapons damage on hit. Homing cart + construct head + your most powerful weapon can easily make a device that beats silver's bonus if you throw a frost admiter on there for ice breaker bonus damage.

You only need 2 chests together for the lynel and you can save it in your favorites to auto build, when I use them in the coliseum you just have to build a new one for each new lynel you can use the same one for all of them

if you attach a silver lizalfos horn to a giant boomerang you get one of the coolest weapons in the game. I call it the scytherang. on average it does around 60 damage. very useful against most foes.

Could you test if cannons do more single-instance damage than beam emitters? In addition, do cannon balls inflict an instance of fire damage or is it purely explosive damage? The data spreadsheet shows its damage value as 12/40 but, assuming the cannon does the same damage as a beam emitter (12), what does the 40 stand for?

The double boomerang is busted, but I'm pretty sure fusing a wing onto the boomerang makes it travel further. I'm not sure if it's a zonai wing, or a monster wing though....

Canon Arrows are cheaper and far more effective than bomb arrows, instead of just entering cavea to get these you can just get Canons for Zonai Charges if you know which Slot machine gives you these

For some reason, you can't break a Lynel armor with cooking pots, though.

Cooking pots are just shatter materials, they’re not unique. They won’t break lynel armor in one hit because lynels and their armor have way more health than most other things.
