As an identical twin, the getting lumped together is so annoying. Like, one time when I was younger, I was at an event and there was something I wanted to do, but everyone only got to go once and since my sister went, I didn't get to go because it was "close enough"

Two of my best friends are identical twins and once you get to know any twin it is SO easy to tell them apart. I don't really see them as twins anymore which is crazy now that I think about it.

As a twin, I felt this- I was always known as just "xxx's sister" or "the other one of the twins", it's so annoying when you both get in trouble as well 😭 Ppl also always think ur the same person which is so dumb lol

Getting punished together is sometimes just a sibling thing. My brother is two years older, and we both constantly got lectured for what the other person did. I had a habit of rarely washing my dishes; my brother washed his religiously. On multiple occasions, he got lectured for not doing so even though he always did. I also got lectured a lot for stuff he did even when he wasn't in the room. "I didn't even do anything," was a common phrase in our house

Me and my twin sister always are referred to as one person. And it actually makes me really upset because we are 2 different beings! We might look alike, and sometimes act the same too, but we are different! Remember that when you meet twins.

My twin brother and I have never been close. I love him so much, but he has always been in love with what the world has to offer. Money, fame, etc.... Never take the connection that you both have for granted. Being a twin less twin is a deep heartache that I have adapted to live with, have never healed from.

I love Daniel. The way I differentiate them: tone of voice. Daniel has a more narrow face while Matthew has a wider one. Also, personalities: Daniel is more of a tamed cat and Matthew a dog.

Let’s not forget the shared gifts around the holidays. Normally this wouldn’t be bad but of course the gift is something only one of us is interested in so the other one basically got nothing😭

When my daughters were kids they absolutely hated it when another kid would knock on the door and say “Can the twins come out and play?” They will fight with each other so bad sometimes, but let someone try to come between them or mess with one or the other and it’s not gonna end well for the other party. 😅

As a twin (m-f) the grouping together gets so annoying! But it’s funny with my mum’s side when someone says ‘the twins’ no one knows which ones they’re talking about - have identical male & identical female twin cousins. Twin genes are strong in my mum’s side (3 sets in my generation alone). Dad’s side thought it was hilarious when my parents announced their twin pregnancy - as far as we’ve been able to trace, we’re the first set of twins in their family tree 😂

The second one is so real, and ppl also ask us all the time "Why arent you deskmates with your brother?" That's so annoying
