Over the course of the next few weeks/months, I will be uploading my collection of MAN NL202 diesel audio recordings from Adelaide. Last week, on Friday 10th June 2022, the majority of Adelaide’s diesel NL202 buses were retired (49 vehicles withdrawn) leaving a mere 7 in service with Torrens Transit, and 3 with busways. The existing units, (233, 240, 241, 246, 247, 266, 267, 2210, 2211, 2213) will continue to be in service for a short while longer.
This recording of 2212 dates from early 2021, in a happier time with a less Scania/ecolife ridden network. 2212 still sees active weekday service at its new home in rural South Australia, serving alongside a small handful of other ex Adelaide diesel NLs in rural areas.
