This is why I hesitate to friend moths... On one hand we could end up becoming really good friends but on the other they could fly away never to be seen again 😭
When I was a moth back then, I met a Japanese veteran player, I've watched some sky vids before getting into the game so my journey was sorta smooth...(yeh didn't know how to fly back then..) She guided me through vault in a flash, i had second thoughts on leaving the game, but I decided not to, I made a new friend, that helped me out through my journey, now, I've become a Manta Ray (yknow' something like that-) I help moths through the game as well, but like the video shown, they leave. Me and my Veteran friend never talk to each other in monthsss, she just helped me with one specific task 'wave to a friend', but thats it, I didn't get her name though, but I'm happy for where I am now and Im sure she's happy as well that a moth she adopted became attached to the game for a very long time, I hope she becomes online more often so I could talk to her... her clothing has been the same since I met her in season of dreams, but with a few changes, I miss my sky mom...
Had a veteran named Cy that taught me a lot and introduced me to a really good friend group, she stopped playing a while ago and shes still in my favorite friends list.
am also has freind that is veteran and name cy but am not think it same person and am block them because they make me uncomfortable with the huge amount of freinds they have
I also had a friend that helped me a lot through the game, but I haven't heard anything from them since almost last year :( i still see other players I became friends with because of her but not her ༎ຶ^༎ຶ
I been raised by a veteran friend group. They slowly stopped playing because they got bored of it. I have their stars light and gifts sent if they ever decide to come back
I still think TGC should make the game more beginner friendly. Not all of us entered for a friend and it’s just sad. Some of my moth children left bc they didn’t understand and we had different time zones so I couldn’t help them as much :((

I used to have a moth friend that actually talk to me. We were both moths and she was the first moth that talked to me a lot. I had to quit playing sky because my little brother thought it would be great to throw my phone across the room when he loses a game The screen was severely cracked and it can't be turn on. My parents didn't want to waste money repairing the phone so they just gave me an old phone that was not compatible for the game. I still wanted to hang out with her because she was very friendly and outgoing. I feel bad for leaving her unexpectedly
I met a moth while on sanctuary islands, I was impressed that they had one more cape wedge than I did. I befriended them and we joked that I would one day catch up to them. Now I have 10 wedges and nearly all the cosmetics and they have been frozen in time since that day. Sometimes I pick their avatar in the friend constellation and just sit with them as if they're there...
After first trying out the game, I stopped playing almost completely because I just didn't really see what there even was to do. Then a few months later I saw some fanart and ran into a few sky-related youtube channels which made me realize there was an actual community for this and that made me wan to come back and see what made some many people love this game. When I first started playing, I befriended a ton of moths and helped them learn almost everything in the game. It took hours out of my week, but I enjoyed it. Some of those moths grew up and became amazing friends of mine or even ikemen veterans, while others I never saw again. Nowadays I'm pretty leary about the moths I accept as friends because I don't want to purposely block them after a week of inactivity. I'd rather stick with my own close friends and play with them instead. ♥️♥️
I started a few weeks ago and someone adopted me and we flew everywhere but I'm a bit more familiar with the game now so we don't go together as much but I'll always be grateful to them. Yes I still play :^)

i was once a moth, addicted moth..it's been 2 weeks and i can say, I'm a pro now...in 1 weeks, i fully understand how sky works thanks to RU-vid, and I'm starting to get bored doing candle run everyday, the krill i always scared now seems nothing to me, in fact i got pissed off at them
Your case is similar to mine. When I was a moth, it was fun finding winged lights, reliving spirits, getting reborn from Eye of Eden, going to different areas of each realm and avoiding Krills. However, it's getting boring once I progressed. Though it's still a fun game, the only thing I do after doing the same process over and over again is either going to OOB places (which I'm PRETTY SURE SOME ARE PATCHED BY NOW), play some music or doing some missions given by the spirit, or communicate with other players. For now, I'm waiting for the next 63 statues on Monday to get more ascended candles. My goal is to ascend all the spirits. Until then, I have nothing to do....
A week ago, I led a moth throughout Vault and I brought her to the winged light locations because I had a feeling that was her goal. Anyway, after reuniting with all realm elders, we reached Eye of Eden. At first I thought she wanted to go alone, but I decided to accompany her. I befriended her, held her hand and entered. Throughout the journey, she didn't let go of my hand. If we did, she came back for me. The best thing is, as we reached third phase, her spirit followed me as the meteor shower impaled me until all my winged lights vanished. Once we entered Heaven, we flew into the light and got reborn together. It was a memorable moment for me. I haven't seen her for weeks now. But I still keep her as a friend. Wow, that was long as hell. Hopefully no one gets a migraine or a stroke reading this.... Edit: She came back😄
Im a moth and im happy playin sky for 3 days because i was fall in love with this game. tbh, this game improve my english language and i saw community are very kind actually.
im that kind of moth who quitted the game after completing my first eden run and unlocking all maps. i played it from time to time but not as much. it was then on trial of earth, i met my first amazing sky friends. i started to become more active in sky because of them uwu

as a moth i wanna say that we actually appreciate a lot of u experts asking us to be friends idk if its just me but since im new i got really scared of doing something wrong in front of an expert so like most moths just run away since they r kinda scared of ruining things up but like personally it makes me so damn happy when an expert asks me to be friends
I once found a moth in Eden and I named them "Eve" (ha, because Eden) and helped them through. They continued playing the game, and they've grown so much from being an adorable moth ^^
All these comments about moths abandoning Sky, I was pretty much the opposite. I finished Eden in the first 4 days I was playing Sky. I loved that game so much and I still do. All my moth friends are either veterans now or they are still moths but still active. I must be lucky 😏😱🤔

Since many people talk story about their new player, I'll join too. Mine started when i was still a new player and just bought a new cosmetic, such as hair and a cape. This is during the tree house season. So when i was about to candle running in isle of dawn, i meet this "moth" on a two player door on floating island. So as usally player we open door and bow at each other, then collect all the candles and winged light up the top and then we sat on a stone chair. We greet each other, said stuff like hi and how're you and all. And next thing i knew we become friends, not just a normal friend a favourite friend. He's kind and a funny which i love him the most. We almost everyday and every night play together and spend our time together. Such as candle running, chilling and searching for spirits. It was really a fun time and a best online friend I've ever had. At that time we like a new player and didn't know anything about the game. But we team up and work to find all the spirits. Now its been months since i last saw him online now. I really do be miss him a lot 😊. He leaves with sweet memory that i couldn't burn nor forget. I really wish i could see him one more time.
I made a lot of moth friends when my skykid was “growing up” (not quite out of the moth stage but not entirely new), and when I started wearing more cosmetics and knew more about the game I still adopted a lot of moths. A lot quit, but to me it’s so worth it watching your moths “grow up”, even from a distance. Some play daily and some play every other day, but I’m still happy and it’s a little bittersweet. A bit silly to get so attached to a stranger but they’re my moths 😥
i met a veteran in my moth days, she's from Thailand and the sweetest person I've met so far she never left me behind and keeps dragging me in her candle runs and she treats me like her child😭❤️i constantly call her "momma" while she calls me baby and yesterday when i told her it's my birthday she gifted me an IAP item i was so shocked and thankful❤️ I'm very happy i met her and i hope we can be friends in rl also, I'm looking forward to meeting her soon❤️
i went thru eden alone because a vet cheeb chose a 10-star moth over my sad six star butterfly cape no cosmetics butt ;-; now i wait for moths after the refuse to hold my hand so we can die faster recently i had to drag a moth with me so we would all die
i remember meeting my friend. there was a veteran who placed a table and we (my friend, the vet (1st valley hair), and i) sat down. my future friend (who i will call kosas bc that is what it gave me as a randomisation) me and abby started talking and the vet went to play instruments with their friends. kosas asked if we could be friends bc she had to go but she would like to rejoin the server later (she was a regular player with a red cape and it was my first week and i was still a sparrow/moth) we finally unlocked chat, but had previously talked via discord. we became good friends and unlocked no mask and chibi mask together. we finally unlocked bear hug recently and i am aiming to complete the friendship tree with her òwó. (she is still active to this day) she had a chinese friend who i also friended bc they were a cool and nice veteran; but they later stoped playing (as in i cannot light their candle) or she blocked both if us qwq
honestly, moth adopting is a very stressful job. you have to both not guide them too much that the game gets pretty boring for them, and also not guide them too little that you just literally abandon them. you also have to think about what they're going to say whenever they find a chat table, answer all of their questions, and pray to the krill overlords that the moth isn't a creep-o that thinks sky is a dating app for some reason (although thankfully those are rarer these days). not to mention the fact that you feel guilty afterwards for leaving them whenever you had to go. and AAAAALLLL of this just for the moth to 90% of the time leave the game and stay offline in your constellation for the rest of eternity. even with the small 10% chance that the moth suddenly turns into an ikemen, you probably would rarely even interact with them afterwards. and then the ikemen suddenly goes offline.. forever. (btw this is just from my personal experience with moth adopting, this might not be accurate for others!)
i didn’t understand the game at all for my first few months, but then everything started to make sense (maybe i’m just a curious/stubborn moth lol). missed so many events and the end of a season and so, so many travelling spirits, but in the end i’m so glad i didn’t quit ❤️
1 month ago a semi-veteran adopts me when I was a moth. Fast forward and now I'm really active on sky and login almost everyday since. I even bought a pass just in a month. I guess I'm glad I didn't make my senpai regret adopting me :3
There was this one moth I met in Isle of Dawn, we go to the area with the two player and I had to tell the moth how to do the section, so I spent my candles to unlock chat with them, I said “hi” and as soon as she said hello, she disappeared. This happened last month and never saw her since (and I wasted my candles) ;-;
I'm still technically a moth (I joined in the later stages of Season of the little Prince), but I befriended this super beginner person and he/she would follow me everywhere and give me hugs then he just stopped playing :'0
The first time i play Sky was in September 2021. I met another moth that day and her/his name is Pimuyak (still using the name from the game/ name generator). She/he took me to a lot of places on my first day, and that's why i already unlocked all of the realms, including Eden. It's almost my 1 year anniversary (playing Sky) but still.. i haven't got any chances to play with Pimuyak ever since. I don't know if she/he quit playing or changing to another account, but i really miss her/him. I still have our pictures in Vault together. I hope you're doing okay!
Some people I friend are mostly moths are some aren’t, but when I accept their friend request they never went online the days afterwords, and I have two veterans I met but we aren’t friends per say- we just met one day and never saw eachother again, they kinda play some days but when they’re online I get to scared to join them
i befriended a moth in forest and helped him/her got the spirits and stars.. he/she said she was so happy someone helped him/her. then i told him/her that i'll go afk for a moment bcos i have to eat my lunch and return immediately to continue.. i returned but she did not until this day 😔
im sorry to those who friended me when i was a moth..i disappeared because i was trying to link my facebook account but ended up making a new acc and my progress disappeared.. now im still a moth because i havent finished eden and was too scared lol..man..i need friends-
Me when the- so uh little story kinda thing so I've been playing for about three weeks now and my first friend I chatted with is named Ji Yu and they're Chinese and use a translator to talk to me. they're a moth, but we both are lol, I just have a different hairstyle and yellow coat so. and I just. I want to make an edit in like, a month and see how much we've grown from being moths to maybe even being pros? idk but I'm sure we'll have changed a lot then. :) Also I met with my friend Cee on Sky today hehe they're also a moth and they're also Chinese!! we did one of the uh side quest like thingies in prairie with some other people and it was really fun!!!
