Seeing Tommy tell Wilbur to go with his family is so heartbreaking because that’s his family too, but it’s like he feels as though they don’t care about him 😔 and the ending hurts because Tommy was the one last thing that was keeping Wilbur there. He was his unfinished business.

Something that also hurts about this tommy always thought Wilbur cared more about other people. he thought he cared for Fundy more, he thought he cared for Tubbo more, he thought he cared for Niki more. People came into his life and “took away” his older brother even when Wilbur was always with him

I like to think Wilbur's character KNOWS Tommy's stood by him when he was going through his entire downward spiral and coming along was partially his way of doing the same.

I already took my now wet glasses off my face when the song ended and then the video kept going and I was just 😭😭😭😭 a mess. Oh and the compass at the end. 🥺 This truly was beautiful and you have the ability to convey so much emotion through art. I feel like this will be one of those things that I suddenly remember at 2am and immediately start sobbing haha. All in a good way though! I love Undertale and I love emotional animatics 🥺

Wilbur then runs out the living room to the front yard. Techno, Wilbur's older brother and twin by 2 minutes. Techno was currently training his swordsmanship and perfecting his form. "Techno come, come quick! Come look at what I taught Tommy to say!" Techno laughs and sprints into the house with Wilbur, a warm smile on his face, he's happy to see his brother so full of joy. He walks in and goes towards the pen. "Look look Techno, come on Tommy say it again," Tommy looks at his big brothers and laughs, clapping his little hands together. Wilbur tries again but Tommy won't budge. "It's alright Wilbur you can show me another time, I'm sure he'll talk then. Knowing Tommy he's probably just messing with you." Wilbur looks down with a sadden face as Techno pats his head and turns to leave. At that moment Tommy looks from Wilbur to Techno to Phil who has a pitiful smile on his face, sad for Wilbur. Tommy looks back at Wilbur seeing his sorrowful face. He feels sad. As techno starts to walk away Tommy looks at Wilbur one last time before he scrunches up his face. " W-ww-i burf," He struggles to say, Wilbur picks his head up and looks at Tommy. "Huh Tommy? Did you say something," Wilbur looks at him with a hopeful look. "Techno come back I think he's trying to say it again," Techno ear twitches as it picks up the sound of Wilbur's voice. He turns and walks back over to the pen and squatted down. "Come on Tommy I know you can do it," Techno says in an encouraging voice with the smile of a proud brother. Tommy's face contorts as he tries his hardest to say Wilbur's name. Philza walks over and kneels down next to Wilbur. "Tommy, you can do it, we believe in you." Tommy has a determined look set on his face. He opens his mouth in an attempt to pronounce the first letter, looking like a fish in the process. Tommy's face is pure frustration, he's trying his hardest but the words won't come out. They're all looking at him expectantly, he wants to make them happy. (*From this point on is the new ending that follows the same plot point but is worded differently, I should have copy pasted that last bit earlier like I was gonna but I was almost done so I decided not to. WORST DECISION EVER*) Tommy musters up all of his strength and forces out a whimper. They all look at him expectantly waiting to hear what he would finally say. Tommy looks at them with a pouty look and tries to talk. "W-wi-wilbbie," Tommy forces out, hurting his throat. He looks down ashamed, he feels sad that he can't even say one word. Tears start to form in his eyes as wipes them away, but he tears won't stop coming. Phil pats Tommy's head as he says "You did great Tommy that was perfect." Techno nods his head in agreement. Oh god this hurts.... but honestly I get it. Tommy never got closure with Alivebur. He's still looking for closure. Ghostbur can't give it to him, though, and of course that's incredibly upsetting. Like... imagine how jarring it would be to have your dead brother's ghost following you around, except said brother had done some horrible shit and even tried to kill you before dying.... yet his ghost doesn't remember any of that. Like.... crap. That would suck.

I like that even after everything they gone ture, they gone true it toghter. Willbur has always been there to protect Tommy. Even after fighting he is still there for Tommy, looking over and protecting his little brother. And once he knows that Tommy's safe. That he is going to be okay and everything is going to be alright. He moves on, because he knows Tommy will always be looked after. He didn't stay because of L'manburg, he didn't stay because he wanted revenge. He stayed because Tommy needed him. Tommy, is his unfinished synfony.

As an UNDERTALE fan, you just threw a brick of nostalgia, happines and depression. ;v; But its really cool that this fits so well! The line: "If you won't fight, please just leave" fits Tommy so well in my opinion since he always likes to fight. (I also feel like fighting is kinda like a way for Tommy to cope, idk) Also, the line: "So glad you took your fall" being gestured at Wilbur, or well Ghostbur, since Phil killed him. And, lets all be honest here, we're all glad the psychopathic Wilbur is dead and we have a wholesome (quite possibly traumatized) Ghostbur instead! It's really cool that you used this song for Tommy, looking forward to other projects you have in mind in the future!
