Hi Riders,
Welcome back to the Bikes4eddie channel.
In today's video, I want to tell you the story of another of my favourite champions. This is Luca Cadalora.
Born in Modena in 1963, he won three world titles (86 with Garelli 125 and then one-two 91-92 with Erv Kanemoto's Honda 250) and started what we remember as the golden age of the Italian 250. The decade 1991-1999.
Luca was an excellent driver, moderate, calm, polite and aggressive on the track.
He made us dream with hard-fought races up to the last corner so as not to reveal his potential and with solitary rides in which he inflicted tens of seconds of gap on the rest of the group of riders.
Over the years he has tried his hand at all the classes, but in my opinion, he left the strongest sign in the 250cc, the class in which he was able to make 100% use of the bike and all the components of the Honda team he had available.
I have always appreciated his intelligence, composure and ability to do the best with the means at his disposal, without necessarily wanting to overdo it or having to demonstrate that he can outclass his competitors.
Naturally, his career ended in the 500cc class, where the comparison with the sacred monsters Rainey, Schwantz, Doohan, Gardner and Lawson certainly didn't intimidate him.
In the major class, Luca has always brought home great placings and some victories, finishing in second and third place in the final standings.
I hope to be able to convey to you the pleasure and emotion I feel when I'm in the saddle and that you may like this video and enjoy yourself for a few minutes.
Let me know in the comments what you think and if you have any doubts or questions.
