Butch hellemano was my fathers best friend. My father was Robert Leach from San Jose California. I'm pretty sure my father bought Butch his first guitar when they were young. I have a fond memory of Butch spending about 8 hours carving me a warrior statue out of a piece of driftwood he got from the bottom of a volcano from Hawaii. I truly love this music and it has a strong sentimental value to me as my dad has passed away
Brah some OG Butch Helemano... Along wit "Sit up inna bush" and "Skinny legs" my all time favorites for remanisce da high school days 1990. When everybody was playing "Jahwaiian" music, Butch was playing original Hawaiian reggae, doing his own thing. Mahalo Unko Butch for playing the soundtrack to the most fun time in my life!!!
All of these songs remind me of the times, good & bad of my island home of HAWAII. Now that I'm on Da mainland, whenever I get homesick I just play these song, and I reminisce.
THIS SONG REMINDS ME OF MY COUSIN RASTAMAN STAN VASQUEZ!!!! REST IN PARADISE !! WE ALL MISS YOU AND YOU ARE ALWAYS LOVED NEVERFORGOTTEN!!! LOVE YA SEXILEXII
