I noticed a slight error in the transcription of the lyrics, "the flavor's intoxicating" is written 陶醉 (taozui) but yi xi pronounces 沉醉 (chenzui) which confused me at first when i was trying to sing along just by reading the lyrics. both phrases mean the same thing more or less, so I'm not surprised that the error got overlooked in the tuning/editing process. Hope this helps anyone who was similarly confused

This is absolutely fantastic!! Everything from the knife SFX and crunchy buzzing and the subtle violin sounds so so good?? I love the more masculine tuning of Yi Xi in the beginning! The lyrics flow so so well and it'. Also it was such a pleasant surprise to hear Mandarin from creators in the English vocaloid space :D And godd the music video makes such good use of a palette of like 5 colours!! The simple design is so unsettling against the actual lyrics, and the knife animation is so snappy and well timed!! The line boil is such a subtle detail but it adds so much tension before the singer breaks into the full cannibalism verses where they're eerily still and in control of themself. Also I got the Goya reference on the album art :)

Okay, this song feels really relatable. The song is absolutely amazing but it's even better to me on my weird projection-fueled analysis. Essentially, I get the vibes of an abuse victim having revenge fantasies. The beginning where the POV character mentions how people criticize them for what seems to be to them a base part of themself. The POV character responds by embracing their gluttony (which could be a metaphor or literal) and using it against the people who tell them to stop. They fantasize about eating and harming these people. The song is all in their head. I specifically think the POV character is a victim of child abuse from a family member due to the line 'I want to not forgive you' because there's the idea you're supposed to forgive your parents for hurting you on principle of family. They don't want to forgive them despite the expectation they're supposed to one day. The part that solidifies this all as a fantasy to me is the last line of "Still praying, hopeless and in vain." They're hoping for their abuser's karmic downfall that never comes, left only to fantasize about it. I'd go more in depth, but it'd start to get a little too specific to my experience with my interpretations at certain places. I'm probably way off the mark anyways but I just wanted to share how I relate.

Someone who, in their inescapable situation, perpetuates or romanticizes it? or perhaps someone now becoming the victim of what they were originally doing. of course, it could just be a song about eating people, or that ending could also be a sort of symbolism for how the MC is trapped in their mental state. the "i want to not forgive you" would work in this sense as well- not wanting to forgive someone for "causing" this state

After rereading the description and looping the song I'm both inspired and starving. The lyrics and beat give me ideas for drawings and animations, but also make me want to tear into some good ol' raw red meat. 12/10 feels like it's awakening a primal part of my brain thats constantly craving for something to sink and rip into. Putting rambles here cause I'm honestly stunned at the quality of this song. The colors are really doing their magic, I feel like I'm hypnotized seeing the red and yellow and imagining what the suspicious steak could taste like. The bits of Mandarin in the lyrics confused me at first since I wasn't checking the subtitles but they really add depth. The violin that plays for a little around the middle of the song is horrifyingly beautiful while it's in contrast with the sporadic and electrical beats of the rest of the instrumental. The ringing strings also feel classy like if that same melody was played in a restaurant rather than a (?) it would feel right at home. It's giving detailed paintings of crime and tragedy. Last thing, but what I find truly disturbing here is how there's religious undertones with mentions of sin but she doesn't wish to be rid of any of it instead she wishes or rather preys for more, preying and waiting for more. Might come back here and edit this to add more but thats it for now. This song fed me steak with chimichurri after performing a lobotomy on me.
