I just can't believe Rabbi Wallerstein passed away. May his incredible affect on this world continue through his organizations and all the people he inspired. What a beautiful song and video. More people should see this!
Incredible voice! Stunning words!! Praise Hashem!!! Time to leave your cocoon my dear butterfly! Hope to see them in person performing this majestic piece…..
I have watched this music video so many times since first introduced to it. The voices and lyrics are incredible. I cry every time I listen to it. So well done with a most meaningful message. I wish I would have had the privilege to know Rabbi Wallerstein.

Wow mind-blowing!! What a fantastic tribute to our dear Rabbi Wallerstein! This was his essence and who could do this justice but the undisputed stars Abie and Shulem!! Impossible to listen to without having tears rolling down your cheeks!
When I see troubled souls, I think of them as being in a cocoon. I have seen many come out as butterflies. Different from how they were expected to be - but more beautiful and creative than what others had expected them to be. Thank you Abie for this song. It reminds me of the days you sang along with Moshe Yess on the Journey's tapes. Thank you Abie for bringing in Shulem's voice and soul. Hashem is there for us... especially if we have been blessed with SIBLINGS. So often I have seen younger siblings bring joy to the older siblings who helped care for the little one years before.
Every time I watch this I can’t help but cry ❤ this is such a beautiful song that perfectly commemorates Rabbi Wallerstien Z”tl and his message to the world 😢🦋❤️🔥
what a magnificent song, of course the tears flow and the memory of our beloved Reb Wallerstein brings a smile, and Shaulem's voice brings the essence of love and joy.
WOW! As only Abie Rottenberg can write. Like the song 'Who am I' was for disabled, this song touches so many in this generation that are struggling to find themselves in this confusing world. Absolutely gorgeous. Shulem and Abie's voices blend together so well.

Wow! Such a beautiful & moving song, brings me to tears each time I hear it. The message is so powerful & comforting. How I miss our Rabbi Wallerstein - This is such a beautiful & poignant tribute to the work that he did. I feel Rabbi Wallerstein is still continuing his work from on High. As someone who was helped by Rabbi Wallerstein, I am humbled & grateful to Ohr Naava, Abie Rotenberg & Shulem Lemmer for putting this song out. Thank you so much! 🦋 Debbie Weiner
What a glorious way to start my morning being reminded of HaShem’s chesed emet. He will always be there at our side. 🙏 Todah, Shulem & Abie for this beautiful song. 👏🏼🇮🇱
I dont know this rabbi, but i do know that Lemmers voice is magnificent beyond compare. I could listen to him sing all the time. Please let me know if he has made a collection of hebrew and yiddish songs that i can hear. His range is so amazing. And his voice never seems to be strained. Never! No matter how high or low the note is he hits it with precision and beauty.
Composer, singer, songwriter Abie Rotenberg is a Jewish Musical Legend. His many works include the Journeys Albums, Dveykus Albums, &Marvelous Midos Machine series just to name a few. His master collection of complex musical compositions and lyrics that capture the soul are extraordinary, legendary, and renowned in the world of Jewish Music over the past several decades.
It was 2006 when I held the first meeting for the "Esthers". I told the story about the caterpillar that becomes a butterfly. But it requires daring to lean on HaShem alone! Not on others and not on yourself. It requires complete surrender. Not my will but Yours! This song is beautiful! Would love to use it when I make a podcast. Reading from the Torah, encouraging and praying, etc. Gut - erev - Shabbos.
Thank you! This is incredibly inspiring! We need the marvelous middos machine to blast this song into every room in every Jewish home across the world!
VERSE 1: There are times when I stand by a mirror to take a close look at myself, and the face that I see, looking right back at me wishes it was someone else. But there is only one you a fragment of light from above, that would joyfully serve and cling to Hashem if only it knew the depth of His love. CHORUS 1: Time to leave your cocoon, my dear butterfly show yourself and the world just how very high you can fly, you can soar, once you unlock the door, and Hashem will be there at your side and Hashem will be there at your side. VERSE 2: There are times when I hear music playing but it’s more a lament than a song, I’m so used to the pain of its tragic refrain that whispers “You don’t belong”. But there is only one you a Neshoma most precious and sweet. Our lives are a chorus in praise of Hashem and when your voice is missing, the song’s incomplete. CHORUS 2: It’s time to leave your cocoon, my dear butterfly show yourself and the world just how very high you can fly, you can soar, once you unlock the door, and Hashem will be there at your side and Hashem will be there at your side. VERSE 3: I’ve been told every soul sent from heaven has its very own mountain to climb; though some do prevail, many stumble and fail and I know not which fate will be mine. But there is only one you with a calling of your very own; the road may be long, a test of the heart but you’ll never, no, never, have to walk it alone. CHORUS 3: Time to leave your cocoon, my dear butterfly show yourself and the world just how very high you can fly, you can soar, once you unlock the door, and Hashem will be there at your side yes, He’ll always be there at our side.
