Making decisions on parking violations and going on a red light (while no one was hurt) is a lot different than judging cases with life altering ramifications. Just food for thought.

@@ISKMUSIC1 - That's why supreme court judges have clerks who do much of the work for them. Besides, just look at some of the current supreme court judges (especially the last couple that have been appointed) - I don't think they were particularly qualified for the position.

The last part to this video reminded me of something. When I lived in Delaware, my license plate was stolen. I had to go to the DMV to get another. When there, they asked if I wanted a different plate, or the same one. Just to avoid extra paperwork, I went with the same one. A week later, I was pulled over. The reason? The plate had been reported stolen. The officer ran the VIN and saw that this plate was registered to my car. He gave me a warning that if a plate gets stolen, to never get the same plate again in case it was ever used in a robbery or worse. Good advice... so why in the hell was the same plate even an option at the DMV? The left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing.

Michael Bell I like the way you put that. The left hand really has no idea what the right is doing. I’ve been through some things with the DMV that couldn’t be described any better. It’s a crazy (flawed) system isn’t it?

I imagine that, say, if the plate gets broken or damaged, rather than stolen, getting the same plate number is a good thing for continuity. But the minute you said that your plate was stolen, giving you the same plate shouldn't have been a valid option to pick.

He charged the guy who ran a red light (it said "no turn on red" and he endangered others; ticketed at the hospital during cancer treatments when he wasn't able to work - no charge). This is why you, Dj johnson, are not a fair judge. You want to charge everyone to the top. I got a warning for not stopping at an intersection (not in RI) and after that, I ALWAYS stopped at that stop sign remembering the officer who left me off with a warning.

Yeah the judge was right to dismiss it - the ticket and prosecution must be clear and law enforcement should hold themselves to the standard of providing proper information and evidence.

@Samir Dončić Depends if zombies are in front or in back. In front, you kind of want to plow through them at a low speed rather than fly them up into the air. In back, I agree, would need to at least 4+ mph to outrun a zombie, unless they are those running zombies like WorldWarZ, then probably 14+mph. How long before the university offer major's in Zombies? Is it an Art degree or a Science degree?

That is a nonsense system of number plates, to have the same numbers issued into active circulation, but both being only differentiated as being either a combination or a commercial plate. Good job on those folk for getting their case thrown out. Though I wonder how it would have worked out if the plate designation had been illegible on the video.

I went to court one day in Holland and the judge told me to pay a fine about 1600 Euro! I told him I had a reciever and asked him to let me do local service! He just gave me 16 hours due to my knee injury! I lost my cartarige and can not stand up long! It was just 8 days helping out the community!

More drivers mean more registrations which means less numbers available? But still, How hard could it be to set the computers to deny the same number combination to the two vehicles of the same year ,make ,and model? OR make and model?

Fun maths, 3 numbers then 3 letters gives 17.5million combinations. Reverse it, 3 letters then 3 numbers brings it up to 35 million. 3 numbers and 4 letters gives 456 million variables. The easiest way to ensure no double ups nation wide is to pick a series (123abcd), then reverse it when you get to the end. You would have over 900 million registrations issued before any opportunity to duplicate. Edit: then you add on state registration, so that adds another 50 variables, so we are talking 900 million different plates PER STATE

How can there be less numbers available, when they can just change the letter. In the UK we went through the letter added at the end of the numbers. IE: ABC 100 A. The last letter also related to the year. Cars have been registered since when, so why can't the reuse the old numbers that the cars have been scrapped.

Tickets (fair or unfair) should never be thought of as a revenue stream, but as a means of improving safety in the city. There ought to be good money management by the city, as well as fair taxes.

I would just say, its nice to be nicer to your citizen, (good thing to do, so they are encouraged to do nice things to others and them selves) and use that footage on youtube to earn the revenue in-turns to compensate the losses that are waived off to those citizens, win win for both, The City and the Citizens. Pitty in india we dont have such things for traffic, you got pulled over, or got ticket(wait they dont give ticket they just boot the vehical), you have to pay, no arguments nothing, you won't be given chance to go to court to fight.
