Butters the CH Kitten - Daily Physio Routine 

butters was the world i was okay with. when he passed everything collapsed

To the uninitiated it looks like Butters is just kind of staring off into space , but he is definitely concentrating. Our CH cats get this liok during PE class

I love the incorporation of the churu! I'm a big fan of using treats to help make sure kitties have positive associations with daily medical activities! Six years in and my baby girl still gets treats twice a day with her face cleaning and eyedrops 😁

Baby Butters 🦁

Our CH kitten, Aiden, is 11 our so weeks old. When I found him, I didn't know what was wrong, I realt thought he wasn't going ti live through the night and make it to the vet. The vet agreed it was neurological but told us to come back in a week after he'd taken de-wormer in case it was a parasite. By that next week, he was a totally different kitten. He was energetic and eating really well and wearing little diapers. He had CH, but it's not severe, it vet believes he could walk off we keep working with him. He is starting to sit without taking over every time. He can balance pretty well, but he isn't interested in waking. He prefers to roll, lunge, just whatever gets him where he's going. He can jump so high and flings himself so far, scares us to death. My husband built a walker for him and were trying to figure out how to get it just right for him. He's so sweet and he loves his kitten food and will only drink water out of a bottle. My husband says he's a little chicken due to the way he "pecks" at everything. He's so much fun, I wish the adult cats were more interested in playing with him. I wasn't sure we'd be able to handkerchief carrying for a special needs kitten, but he's such a good boy. We're starting to give him supervized floor time, we have a older 90lb lab mix with a torn CCL (she was already very clumsy) and she could hurt him so easily without meaning to. It's really hard not to be extremely overprotective but I'm trying. It's a lot like having a newborn instead of just a "kitten" he send so much more delicate, but he thinks he's a tank. Butter's is just beautiful, he seems very happy and knows he's well loved. My little Aiden loves to cuddle, but he's soddy very much a typical kitten who thinks my arms are chew toys., I know u shouldn't show it, but since the other cats won't play with him yet and this is part of his normal development, we're just trying to teach him to be as gentle as possible rather than not let him be himself and attempt the occasional murder. Our house is shared by 4 adult cats, 1 CH kitten and an older dog with joint disease and arthritis, we're a pet friendly hinge. We all compromise in order to happily coexist. It's amazing how they understand compromise and are willing to do the same. One of our cats, Angus who is 3 and the finest of the adult cats, has terrible anxiety, but he's really doing well thanks to ask that compromise. Watching Angus and Aiden gain confidence and blossom has been so rewarding.

Woohoo at 4:50 he tried to walk.... Great job Butters. K, so a few questions. You only do this once a day? Is there a reason only once? I'm not trying to be mean, but can you give us a time on how long this one session takes because if that's like an hour, that's a lot of exercising for one day. Also, do you stretch his front legs? They look kink of stuck or atrophied. Please please don't take these questions as judgement, as they are not meant as such. I've done a lot of research on CH babies as I wanted to adopt one, but I'm not fit enough to take the correct amount of care it would require and I think people need to know just how much work they are to give them a good quality of life.

Hes gone and i hate it

So this poor cat ended up in this condition all because he was associated with another cat in the shelter that wasn’t vaccinated. How could the shelter be so careless about not making sure that all of their cats that are with the shelter at that point are vaccinated 100% this could’ve been completely avoided. Have they been more responsible with a customer they have it that shelter. Now this poor cat has to suffer this way for the rest of his life.
