Thanks for the beautiful music. This is the best music to listen to. This kind of music is what keeps you young. I’m 92 and Thanks again. Delores in Kentucky
Mom, now 98 sitting and listening to this again. Such memories as her and dad entered a many polka dance competitions in northern Minnesota back in the day. Franky Yankovich and others. Wow!
I feel blessed. For 10 years, I went to the Spring Hill, Florida Slovene Club and saw this happening, along with the dancing and singing. What a wonderful memory. I'd do it over again in half a heartbeat. God bless Polka Music.
Aww, - You are Blessed to have seen your Gram mom Dance & enjoy SO MUCH for time you did! She'll stay in your Soul. My Dad played Accordion & LOVED Polka, Gone 16 years, I Cry happy tears, still see him Enjoying himself! Probably dancing in Heaven when he sees me play Polka & Dance making lunch daily!!! I LOVE POLKA! & Family they stay with you. Blessings, KEEP Dancing!! Need Happiness right now!
LOVED IT! Brings back memories of watching my folks doing the polka or waltz on the dance floor. Nothing like the clean Slovene Polka/Waltz sound (especially like the Cleveland style, popularized by Pecon/Trebar). I played both piano and button box accordions in younger years, and still love to hear the music. I see lots of Zupan boxes, but didn't see any Lojse Slak boxes .. tough to come by and very expensive too. Wish I still had all the accordions I had in my earlier life. Going to have to book mark this so I can come back every time I need a good "Fix". Thank you so much for posting. Hvala!
Regardless of when it was recorded, no person under 75 has ever been filmed dancing or playing polka. The drummer, of course, is a vampire who moonlights as a strip club DJ after the rest of the polka band retires to watch Matlock.
