Thank you for spending the time to teach us about this machine. I can make the waist in my son's pants smaller, but that's about it. These videos are so helpful and engaging. Thank you.
This was extremely helpful because the explanation you gave was clear, direct, you showed all the steps-first correctly and then what to do if we goof! Buttonholes seem impossible, but now that I have viewed your explanation I feel I can do it! Thank you so much
Thanks for this. It's very clear and helpful. I'm sure I will watch it again when I'm brave enough to try it myself. Wish I'd had a Maths teacher like you when I was a kid. I was absolutely hopeless. ♥️
Fantastic tutorial. Clear, nice and slow and you show exactly what you are doing. So many tutorials are hard to see what's going on. Not the case with you :) I have subscribed straight away. Thank you !
Thanks Mom. Moms really do know best. This video was most helpful. I watched other videos and they did not tell you about the tension, stitch width or even which stitch to use. Thank you very much.
Thank you so much! Excellent clear instructions @ wish I had thought of checking you tube before wasting so much time yesterday. The instruction book doesn't explain all these steps! You're awesome!!!❤
Thank you! I did not see anything about pulling down that lever. I recently replaced my over 30 year old singer, which didn't have a buttonhole foot. I love this machine, but there is a learning curve after my very basic old machine. I just couldn't quite figure out how the machine was going know where to stop sewing for the buttonhole. Your video cleared it all up.
Love your videos, just the right bit of info, not too fast paced but not too slow either, and you do an excellent job of showing angles for best view. THANK YOU!!!!!❤
Thanks for that. Very clear to understand. Now I just have to go and try it. I have had my sewing machine since 1997 and have never made a buttonhole. It's the tensions I get mixed up with.
I have messed up button holes many times, but I’ve never done it correctly until now! Worked on the first go five times in a row! Was planning this comment in my head but not typing it for fear of jinxing myself 😂. Thank you!
]oH Thank you so much was struggling and about to throw a tantrum all I have left is the darn buttonholes. Your guide was so easy to understand and my buttonholes are on point!
I’ve avoided buttonholes my entire life, and I just made a perfect one on nearly my second try (first few videos did not help me understand how my machine actually works) I learned so much❤ THANK YOU! 🎉 I feel so much more confident in myself and my skills!
Hi Mom! You're a wonderful person and I enjoy learning from you. I'm just getting into sewing, so I can make my girls some clothes with this sewing machine. A video about how to change the stitch type and the results would be helpful. Thank you!
So glad I found your tutorial after I spent 2 days picking out my last button hole because my button hole foot ran a different pattern going back forward back on the left side then bar at top and down on right, then the bobbin got messed up. i ruined the whole garment, but i am still hoping that i can salvage it somehow.
Great! I'm glad you included the settings, and I didn't know about that screw in the back of the machine! Parr of my problem the other night was that I used a knit fabric. So hard!
Awesome instructions I have a different model but same foot...pulling the presser foot down was not explained in the manual my missing piece solved .. THANK YOU KINDLY 🎉🎉🎉😊
Your tutorials helped save Halloween! My daughter was thrilled with her costume which included a vest with four big buttons down the front. (I would upload a pic but I can't figure out how... I guess I need a tutorial for that too! 😂) 🎃🖤
Hello! I just bought the same sewing machine, but I can’t put the width to 0, the wheel is too hard and it only gets to the 1. I would like to know if yours wasn’t hard to move or if mine came with some factory error 😩 Thank you 🙏🏻
No, mine isn’t hard 🙁 I have one machine that won’t go to 0 if I have certain stitches selected so try turning the stitch selector to another pattern. If that doesn’t help, you might want to exchange. It’s a good machine, but you may have gotten a defective one
If you had to pick one between Brother XM2701 or Singer 4423 for someone who is not a total beginner, but mostly does simple projects and alterations, and price difference was not the issue, which one would you pick? Thank you
Well, I'm not really enjoying the xm2701 :( Nothing I can put my finger on, it's just not fun. I have a Singer 4452, but I think the only difference is some extra presser feet. It's a little loud, but its a very solid, powerful machine. I've not had any trouble out of mine so far. My absolute favorite machine is the Brother ST150HDH. The only thing that disappoints me me in it is the light is not very bright. You might have already seen it, but here's a video I did comparing all the machines I have. Hope this helps! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8HiN9hzbYeM.html
@@momdoesstuff thank you so much! That's too bad - the XM2701 looked so cute and promising in your videos. I'll look into ST150HDH. Appreciate your input!
I have the same sewing machine, but the button hole foot that I have (that came with it) only has one piece of plastic on the side, not two. Is it defective? Should I order a new one? 5:21
