I just received my new e-bike today, and just because of the possibility of a 25% increase I went ahead and purchased the bike last week. I know some companies are kind of splitting the difference and only raise in prices $100 to $200 for now. I've been in the market for a full suspension fat tire e-bike for the last year to go along with my RAD Rover 6 Plus e-bike. For me one of the big criterias was a good color choice other than black, white or gray. And another was a large capacity battery. I found this company based out of Dallas Texas, called Kandi America. The e-bike that I got is called the Trail King MT750 and it has a 52v 20ah battery and the frame color Apple Green.
Once again, you're on top of the changes in this industry. And have thoroughly explained it so that we all can understand how this affects the changes to prices on Chinese EBikes. Thanks Richard!
I think a lot of these companies are going to get blind sided there product is going to be at customs and there going to get a call from customs saying you need to wire the money to get these through customs. I have 3 end bound now they better not ask me to pay.
a few examples, checked yesterday & velotric fold 1 was sold out & no longer $1k. so when they return the price will be much higher. e-cells already raised prices a few weeks ago, charging more for accessories & extra options section by $250 but are still competitively priced. juiced pre-orders & bikes still have that anniversary sale... which is a good time before the increase.
Buy for cheap now or pay a heavy price later. Excellent information for the people who may be uninformed on the recent tariff on micro EV’s, my friend 🤘🏻
I hope companies at least give us something to make up for these increases in price. Even something like extending the warranty from 1 year to 18 months or 2 years. What I could see people doing is sticking with their existing budgets but ending up buying what once was the cheapie amazon bike but is now close to 1000$
